Hey everyone,
Ben is hosting another tourney in Trenton... he does a great job with organizing his tournies and follows the ITC format for those of you who really like that system.
here's the particulars:
"This event will be held at J&B Books at 97 Dundas Street West, Trenton, ON K8V 3P4, (613) 394-4141. $20 entry fee can be payed in advance or at the door. Doors open at 8:30am November 21st, with the first game starting at 9:30am. There will be three 2.5h rounds, with prizes for best overall, sport, Painting, and General. 1850pts Battle-forged, max 3 detachments. With only one duplicate detachment allowed.
This event will follow all format options and FAQ's presented by the ITC Tournement group found at Frontlinegaming.org, this can allso be found here at TTC40k. As well there will be a copy at J&B books. *Reserve your spot by pre-registering with J&B Books*"

the legends were true. I'm excited for this one. I wonder what FAQ Ed. they are using, since they JUST let experimental rules in with the last one. Hope to see some local faces there.

well to be fair, if they allow experimental rules, they'd better expect people to have the actual model. I wouldn't just let it slide for someone to say "these three riptides are actually the super tides instead"

Might try and make it to this one. I literally get back from Hawaii the night before, so I'm guessing not, but you never know.

Ya I'd expect a pretty solid WISIWYG from anything with experimental rules but it still opens the flood gates.
I ended up emailing forge world because some of the new release rules don't have the experimental stamp, and yet people are blowing up about the fact that since the website change the stamp has been removed and all rules are experimental until otherwise noted. I want to wait to see what FW says on that front.
I know you will see some 4-5 knight lists at ITC which I'm not looking forward too but I will see what the Tau codex brings.

I'm kinda tempted to go to just see what kinda nastiness is there. The White Scars should still hold up well enough, I'd think, especially with some of those new formations to play around with! Have to look at the timeframe, gods know I have a hard enough time getting games in at the best of times!

Shannon or others - does any one have Ben's email of contact info. I have a couple questions about which ITC version they are following alone with some questions that have no be addressed in the new tau codex. As T.O I figure his ruling will be more important than anything on the internet.

A bit off topic - but I've requested to join the group and am still pending.
I was wondering what games the group focuses on as their group description is very vague.

It appears to be 40k centric from what I've seen, but to be honest that's the part I was paying attention to, so I'm unsure if they're involved with other games

No trouble.
I was just wondering what was going on at the old store seeing how the Trenton Forums have died a little while back.
