Nice! I haven't seen kroot hounds on the table in forever. But they're so cute!

Drooooonnnneeesss imgur.com/AaFGPq7Not in this photo, 36 more drones. No jokes. Some are actually painted though! All magnetized to their bases, because I'm tired of drones falling and that little clear plastic nubbins breaking off inside.

Tried out the new GW texture paints. Worked out nicely I think. Random Ultramarine (not painted by me) temporarily placed to give an idea of scale. imgur.com/a/XWgBAI've got lots of stuff in the works I'm excited to complete in the next couple months!

This was my test base. I've now started doing an undercoat of somber grey first so any spots the texture paint misses will not be black. I'll say that the pot is almost half gone already after about 20 bases, so it looks like I'll need about 2 to do a whole army. At 10$/pot after tax, it's not the cheapest basing method, though it beats custom resin. Doing a large oval base would require a ton of this if you want any kind of texture variation.
Overall, I'm very impressed. The stuff hardens well enough that I trust gluing my minis directly to it, unlike the hobby sand I was using for my tau. Also looks like it will stay on a heck of a lot better.
And the time savings! If you do the basing before you glue the model on, you could base a whole army in 3-4 hours! Not counting the drying time between steps, as the initial goop part takes a long time to dry.

Does it stick better to the base than the white glue+sand method?

Does this count as painting? imgur.com/7SwP5lEWhiped this guy up for a better table solution. Came out huge! I still have to take the sander to it, as well as fix up a few cuts. Drink holders are in the mail

Looks great. I like the lighting and the lip around the outside. No more dice flying off the table (hopefully).

That is so fantastic. Do you have plans for it, I've been considering building something like that myself.
