So have been out of the loop on x-wing for some time now, but my kid started wanting to play it, as well as my grandkid, so I've been playing lots of "fun" lists against kids... so yeah I'm gonna get wrecked today! (and won't know much of the rules) but I'm sure I'll at least drive some competitive players completely bonkers so there's that.
My list:
Captain Oicunn: VT-49 Decimator (after I run into stuff I deal them 1 damage) Ruthlessness (after I hit a ship another ship range 1 takes 1 damage) Ysanne Isard (when I lose my shields and take damage I get an evade)
Howlrunner: tie fighter (other friendly ships at range 1 can reroll 1 attack dice)
Bounty Hunter: firespray
Kayden's list:
Han Solo in the Falcon: (gets to reroll attack dice), Chewbacca (after getting a critical cancel it and get back a shield) Gunner (after getting no hits can shoot again!) Shield upgrade (extra shield)
Luke Skywalker: xwing (can change a focus to an evade when defending) R2-D2 (can regenerate shields) Veteran instincts (pilot skill +2) Shield upgrade (extra sheild)
So Kayden's list is all about having two cool characters who are hard to kill and do some respectable damage. His big thing is staying alive to mitigate poor positioning, which kind of happens to him alot.
My list is a big brick of doom that due to my poor flying skills rams into you alot.

This should be interesting Shannon. A foe spray and a deci are always nice together but that's a... unique build for them. Not sure how well ruthlessness is going to serve you considering our meta and it's heavy two ship build may cause you to be injuring yourself regularly.

never injured myself once so that worked out okay...
list worked well:
100 100 74 49
weirdly enough the ruthlessness should have been way more useful in the last game but it really didn't work out that well
the best I've done in an x-wing tourney... so the list worked for me.

Yep, and we're all still trying to figure out why. Shannon just has skills for days that's what it comes down to

I always do better with armies/lists that shouldn't work out that well in any game system I play. My dice respect the lack of meta-game
