Battle for Armageddon 1
Who: The Computer Nook and The Basement Collective
When: April 16th 8:30 am to 6 :45 pm
Where: The Computer Nook, 1855 LaSalle Blvd, P3A2A3, Sudbury, Ontario
Battle for Armageddon is an 1850 ITC event, using the full ITC rules found in the link below:

This tournament will be 3 rounds following the following schedule:
8:30 – 9:00 Welcome and Register
9:00 – 11:45 Game 1
11:45 – 12:45 Lunch and Painting Judging
12:45 – 3:30 Game 2
3:30 – 6:15 Game 3
6:15 – 6:45 Wrap Up and Prizes
Cost and Prizes:
The cost of this event will be $20 for that price you will get a pizza lunch included along with the following prize support:
$150 Gift Card for Best Overall (Highest total score between Battle Scores, Sportsmanship, and Painting)
$100** Gift Card for Best General (Highest Battle Scores)
$75 Gift Card for Best Representation (Highest Painting Score)
$75 Gift for Most Honorable (Highest Sportsmanship Score)
$50 Raffle Prize x 2
1x Terrain Set Donated by The Basement Collective (raffled)
*Each person can only win a maximum of one prize.
** If Best General is the same as Best Overall, Best General will go the person with the 2nd most overall points.
***The gift cards will be to The Games Nook to be used on anything they have in the store, if used on Games Workshop Products they will additionally be tax free.
That is a whopping $500 in prize support, plus a terrain set! That is guaranteed no matter how many attendees we get! Additionally all Games Workshop products will be tax in and 10% off that day only (unless using a won gift card in which case it will only be tax in).
Army Building:
Build your armies according to ITC regulations. Some important things to note:
- Armies must be 1850 points or smaller.
- Armies must not be unbound, and must be battle forged.
- Armies may use up to a maximum of 3 detachments, with the allowance of duplicating a detachment one time.
- Come the Apocalypse allies are not allowed.
- All current sources released up to March 15th may be used. Including:
o GW Codex’s
o Data Slates
o Formations
o Current and Experimental 40k Approved Forge World Units (please refer to the ITC links above to make sure there is no further restrictions to the FW unit you want to bring)
- A maximum of one Super Heavy/Gargantuan Lord of war may be used (a Knight Army excluded). Please refer to the ITC rules for the list of the approved Lords of War.
o If one player has a Super Heavy/Gargantuan LoW and the other does not, the player without can roll on the Escalation Warlord Table and gains +1 to Seize the Initiative.
o For every 3 Hull Points/Wounds dealt to a Super Heavy/Gargantuan Creature LoW, the player dealing the damage earns a bonus maelstrom point.
- A maximum of one fortification may be used.
Scoring:
UPDATED – Prapaying by April 1st nets you 250 extra points to your total final score!
The event will be scored using the following ratio:
2x Battle Score to 1x Presentation to 1x Sportsmanship
This means throughout the day you can earn the following points:
6033 points for Battle Scores (2000 per win, 1000 per tie, 500 per loss, plus the amount of victory points earned each round).
3000 points for Sportsman (per game rating of 0 to 1000).
3000 points for Presentation (see marking scheme below).
250 points for Pre-Paying!
Highest Possible Score: 122833
Presentation Scoring:
- 500 points if army is completely painted to one scheme (1000 points if this is done by the player themselves).
- 500 points if the army is completely based to the same scheme.
- 250 points if the army has a display board accompanying it.
- 250 additional points if the army shows an extra amount of care/love. This can be some exceptional conversions, base work, a really dynamic display board, etc...
- 1000, 500, 250 to top 3 of player voting respectively.
Rounds/Missions:
Each Round will be 2:45 minutes long, with 6 Game Turns as needed.
The missions will be as follows:
Game 1: Roll randomly between ITC Mission 1 and 2
Game 2: Roll randomly between ITC Mission 2 and 3
Game 3: Roll randomly between ITC Mission 4 and 5

Filming:
There will be a set table for each three rounds where the game will be recorded for The Basement Collective. If you do not wish to be recorded please let us know in advance. Furthermore only painted armies will be included for the sake of the quality of the video.
Important Dates:
April 1st – Prepayment Due to Guarantee a Spot.
April 5thth – Army List Due, if your list is not submitted by this date you are still welcome to come, but will be ineligible to win Best Overall or Best General. The exception to this is if you are given a spot from the waiting list.
April 16th– Tournament Date!
