So there's a grand total of TWO people signed up for this... one of which is me
So should we still do this or not?
kingstonnexus.ca/events/age-of-sigmar-tournament/
signing up is free, takes 30 seconds, and lets me know how much materials to print out, or if there's enough numbers to have a tournament.
If you somehow can't sign up online, Nexus works too.

Signed up. Chaos Warriors, Chosen, and characters are all moved over to round bases. Gotta go pick up some for the Cav and see if I've got enough 25mm for the Marauders. I know I *can* keep them on square, but I'd like to have them all the same.

I asked if I can go but so far it doesn't look like the odds are good so I haven't signed up at this point.

Won't let me sign in to register. Dropping off my golden brush submission tomorrow and will sign up then. The Nexus website can be finicky at times for certain... I just wanted to make sure we had the numbers to make this happen!
it's been far too long... at one point our Fantasy tournies were outnumbering our 40k tournies for attendees - then 8th happened!
at the end of 7th we actually did a tourney the last night of 7th and the first day of 8th... yup, two day tourney for warhammer... and was pretty darn full....
....then attrition....
but I hope we're on the upswing with AOS now... such a fun game and awesome setting and the barrier to entry has been lowered so much!

8th *shakes fist*
I remember that two day event - I had my shot to FINALLY beat Frank, had it all worked out, and rolled a 3 to charge with my Swordsmasters in to the back of his giant pinned Saurus block. Then they got flamed to death by Salamanders.
Welcome to 8th, haha.

Don't feel bad... it happened so much to all of us, where you got that glimpse of victory only to have it cruelly snatched away that there became a name for it:
"getting Franked"
frig he's good at this game!

I'd love to try AoS but I have trouble getting to 40K tournaments. Best of luck with it!!

I'd love to try AoS but I have trouble getting to 40K tournaments. Best of luck with it!! Luckily with four pages of rules, it's super easy to pick up!

And now I'm tempted. Even I should be able to figure out 4 pages. Guess it's time to go caving in the back of my basement and see how much dust needs to be blown off my old WHammer stuff. Not even sure what I can field. Though I do seem to recall once owning a LOT of cannons.

well you DO own an abundance of orks... all the rules for this game, including the warscrolls (think unit entries in 40k) are available for FREE on GW's website... you click on the unit you want to field, print out the PDF, and you have all it's rules. no lugging around an armful of books needed. You don't have to even buy a book to play this game Free list building program with all the point costs is here: www.scrollbuilder.com/
