Good day, sports fans and Coaches!
It's time to drag your teams back out of retirement or start finding players for that team you've always wanted because Blood Bowl is back in Kingston next year. It's going to be a spectacular season, with coaches new and old coming to the various stadiums across the city. You can all look forward to some incredible plays and some skull crushing action as players battle it out on the pitch for the enjoyment of the fans.
The 2018 Kingston Blood Bowl league is almost up and running. The coach's package is in for a final edit and if all goes well sign up should open early this week. This is an exciting time for all. If there is enough interest we will be running a pre-season tournament to get everyone back into the swing of things. This is a great opportunity to build that team you've been eyeing every weekend at the store and get bloody on the pitch.
Check back in soon and I hope to see you all this year.

The 2018 Coach's package is ready for distribution. It can be found at the following link KBBL 2018 Coach's Package. Please give it a read and share it with your friends. The OBBLM site is currently propagating and should be up and running in the next 48 hours. I will be working hard to get it customized in time for the league. Once a date for the pre-season tournament has been selected a sign up for both it and the main league will be posted on the Nexus website. If you have any questions about the package or the league either respond here or send me an email at KBBL Commissioner.

a couple questions....
- we're not using the new blood bowl rules from the boxed set? These seem to be different (more complex) rules. - it's $10 for preseason (like to learn the game???) and $10 for regular season???

Good morning Shannon,
To your first question, I am not sure what exact rules you are referring too. The basic rules presented in the LRB6 should be practically identical to the ones in the box set. Basic rules being how to move, pass, block ext. As for the other rules presented in the package they include the league rules and some optional rules. I have tried to limit the required optional rules and have left the others open to the coaches to allow individual matches to make use of them if desired. If you could give me some examples of specific rules I would be happy to clarify.
As for the fees. Here is the proposed structure:
10$ for the Pre-season: Would cover a day-long tournament including prizes. The tournament would ideally give each coach 4 games depending on interest and format. It would have a more forgiving injury penalty and allow coaches to experiment and level up players without the fear of death or permanent injury. It would also allow new coaches to have access to more experienced coaches without to much hassle. The teams used in this tournament would be the same ones that would play in the following season. Does that seem more reasonable or is the cost to high?
As for the regular season yes it would be another 10$ this would cover the cost of running the website (which is rented), a donation to the people who programmed to site, and prizes for the play-offs.
Please let me know if you have any ideas in regards to this and suggested improvements. This is my first time running something of this magnitude and I am open to any suggestions you might have.

Just a lot of information to digest... so thought I'd clarify as I went.
The LRB6 appears to be a lot more to it than the rules in the base set, which is why I was asking about that as I don't know if there's any difference.

Fair enough. I tried to be as through as possible. I'm not sure what is in the box set rule book in terms of content. I havent seen one. I'm picking up the new box set in the new year. The rules are pulled from the LRB6 for the basic rules (same as the box set), all the league rules and the advanced rules are pulled from the Almanac(compilation of box deathzone books and some pdfs GW published).

Please note the following information amending the above:
Please make sure you sign up, register to the manager and create your team prior to 1800 on the 7th of February 2018. This will allow the league schedule to be drawn up and matches assigned for the first day of the league.
Thank you.

Good Day Coaches. Today is the last day to sign up for the league. Remember, you do not need to be available to play tomorrow or on any Thursday for that matter. You just need to be able to play one game every two weeks. The only thing you need to do by 1800 tonight is sign up on the nexus website, register as a coach on the manager and build your team. You don't even need models tonight. I hope to see all of you on the pitch this season.

Heya fred,
I was at nexus today playing warhammer and I saw some people playing blood bowl and I was interested. I know it's rather late but would it be possible if I joined late? (Assuming I have a team and learn the rules because I dont have one yet)
Thanks Matt S
