I wanted to share some of my latest terrain builds. Only one piece for now, but more will be coming. I'm going for a volcanic wastes theme. Is anybody else big on terrain building?

I had a table built but the terrain I made isn't really any good for 8th edition. The changes they made to cover kind of makes it hard to use anything but pre-fabbed building kits and/or GW terrain pieces to allow every model equal opportunity to be "in cover".
That said, I love me some rocks AND people making things; so spot on!

Way to go man! I think terrain is one of the most important, yet most frequently ignored part of the gaming aspect of the hobby. I have a really hard time looking at all my unpainted models and thinking "maybe I should work on some terrain?"
Kudos to you for getting stuff done!
As for usability in 8th, I think this kind of terrain is more important than ever. Line-of-site blocking terrain is crucial for a balanced table, and I think this will work great!

As promised, some more terrain for the same set. I remembered to include a guy for scale this time too.

Two more. Probably the last for a little while (I need a terrain break). One has a slope that models can stand on, and then other is seen from the front and back.

That looks fantastic! I've actually tried my hand at making a bunker myself but it's a very very amateur attempt. If you ever have the time to make a little guide or walkthrough in how you did that, it would be much appreciated:)
((No rush though, i have crap ton of stuff to paint))

Thanks. I'm flattered. Glad you like the pieces.
As far as tutorials go, I learned most of this from watching this channel on youtube: www.youtube.com/user/TheTerrainTutor He does a good job breaking things down to basic techniques and components, even seemingly intricate builds. The staff at Nexus are also a gold mine when it comes to terrain knowledge, and I've picked their brains on more than one occasion.
I'll be at Nexus this Saturday to do some gaming, and if you're there as well I'd be more than happy to talk terrain.

I will be there on saturday to get a game in so sure I will be happy to talk terrain I've stumbled on his videos on the past, I've mainly been finding out how to do it off of r/terrainbuilding on reddit. I"m really new to terrain building but super eager cause it would also look fantastic in DnD games
