Clearly someone thinks redoing the fire dragons will improve their effectiveness.

Clearly someone thinks redoing the fire dragons will improve their effectiveness. Lol. Hopefully that proves true.

Ordered an air brush which arrived yesterday, and started playing with it. Most of the model in the picture was painted with it. imgur.com/gallery/39uMd0l

looking good!
it's a minor thing... and maybe just a preference... but I'd paint your base rims a different colour than the rest of the base - I normally go black or dark grey depending on the look I want. Makes the base/model pop a bit more, especially with the colours you're using.
but I'm liking the edge highlights!

I finally figured out the technique for doing the edges, at least on infantry, and was surprised how much fun it can be. Oddly enough, I was thinking I might need to change the base's rim to a different colour. Especially since Harlequin characters just scream "name me," and it's hard to paint a name on a base that doesn't show it off very well.

Cory, I believe this is the one of your best models to date. You actually take a look back through this thread and see your progression. Nice stuff.
There are a couple of comments on imgur that actually have some good advise as well. I would wash all of your gold weapons with Agrax Earthshade and then either do a slight edge highlight with Runefang, or a drybrush with a lighter gold. It will really give the gold bits some definition. Same with the silver, but with Nuln and then a runefang drybrush/highligh. Another bonus of this is that it can hide some imperfections where the metal parts meet the main colour!
I personally don't like the look of names on bases, I think it really pulls focus away from the models, and I very rarely see it well done.

Everyone loves murder clowns Cory! I agree with Lukas and Shannon; your progression is a great lesson to everyone that with dedication, time and patience; you can improve your painting skills with leaps and bounds in a short time.
