Raphael Byron (Vampire hero)
Background: Raphael Byron had not always been this way, for he was once part of the living but now he was not. In his past life he had been a thug, a mercenary and cutpurse, although contrary to his career choice he had always fought for the empire until the day the curse of vampirism has been afflicted upon him. It had been a cold fall evening, when he was following a man who had just robed and killed 3 women. He followed him as he had followed the women, as a hunter, a predator looking for prey, but then the murderer quickly and unexpectedly turned into an alleyway. As Raphael peered around the corner, for that split second he had realized that his quarry was no simple killer, but a member of the undead. But not soon enough did this realization come to him when the vampire was upon him, "Ahh... fresh blood, I think I have enough room for a fourth helping" and with that the vampire lunged upon him. "Foul undead, I shall kill you for the treacheries you have done against the Empire!". Swords slashing the battle began, the vampire was quick, but Raphael was quick enough to score enough strikes to keep him from being overrun. After many strikes being exchanged the vampire leaped back and snarled "Enough of this! I must go back to my master, but not before I finish you in!" and with that the vampire moved up to him and grabbed him, moving much faster than before. And in the sick embrace of the vampire's feeding, Raphael was beaten, and as he left on the ground to die. Waking up his first thoughts were how he was still alive........
Now hundreds of years later he is still searching for his killer, for the one thing he has, is time. As he was following a lead he followed his contact, a young man named Adhelm, into an inn that was inside an small city in the south. "So where is he?" Raphael asked dully, "Uh...um soon, just a moment", as Adhelm disappeared behind an inn door. A few moments later a voice came from inside the door, "Come in", and Raphael walked in hesitantly. As he stepped through the door it was slammed behind him and light, magical light, was blinding him and as he roared "What is th.." but before Raphael could finish unseathing his weapon he was overtaken by "cloaked mysterious things" and knocked unconscious until he awoke in a cell.......

just general advice against high elves, and the impact hits are for everyone there are lots to go around lol, the trouble is going to be topping this character next time, I dont even know if my other char the old blood could take my ogre, if my empire character didnt die from the impact hits he could hit him since he has the always hit on 2+ and a lucky assassin with the venom blade and/or killing blow could one shot him

Alright people... we've got five entries in the arena... miminum number is eight participants... more is always great! (as the arena will go longer, and more opportunities for player interactions / story building)
So get those characters in! Deadlines always help... so deadline for entry is March 31st....

Character) 1) Vas Dutari: Dark Elf Dreadlord.
Army) 1) Khaine's Seraphs: Dark Elves.
Army List Entry) 1) Dreadlord) armour of darkness, the black amulet and a potion of speed. Great weapon, sea dragon cloak-252pts
A Real Duh! Moment, brought to you by Shilek Jalan) 1) My character has a 1+ armour save that cannot be improved at all. I also gave him a Sea Dragon Cloak, which improves his armour save. So, dur-dur, his armour save is not increased. He also is 2 points over the limit allowed. However, the Sea Dragon cloak does nothing at all for him in the game besides sound really cool. So I am hoping that it will be okay to give him it :-).
Background Information)
Vas Dutari is the mighty and glorious leader of Khaine's Seraphs. He is a Dreadlord that has been given divine purpose in his life: he has received visions from Khaine's little, black messengers. The visions have told him to go on a lifelong crusade against the minions of the Ruinous Powers. Dreadlord Dutari was once an Elf without purpose in his life. He knew what it was to be extremely bored: visit the hostess down the street for some night time action, going on the occasional pirating raid against the hairy barbarians in the east and breeding Cold Ones. Alas, this life was not a life that he enjoyed living. Something was missing and that something was revealed to him via several croaks and flapping of wings. His mission was to purge the world of all the minions of the foul powers, the Dark Gods that would see the world turned into a giant Realm of Chaos. Now lying with Daemons can be quite pleasant, pleasing and entertaining at times (as the Dreadlord knows from personal experience) but to have the whole world be one with the Ruinous Powers would be rather boring. No hairy barbarians to kill, after all. Imagine a world like that ****shudder****. So when the mighty Dreadlord started getting the visions, he knew what he had to do. Blood and Souls for Khaine, and the best blood and the very best souls come from those who have already given them away to higher powers. After all, how glorious would be the child of Khaine that stole souls from the four powers. To deny Khorne his blood and meat, to deny Tzeentch the chance to meddle with mortals lives, to deny Nurgle the chance to welcome these souls into his fleshy embrace and especially to deny Slaanesh the chance to perform the most debased and lustful operations on these mortals souls.....this would be the great glory. For from his visions, Dreadlord Dutari learned that there was nothing more that the God of War and Murder hated then to have his world and his people stolen from him by the upstart Dark Gods, the gods of Chaos, the ones who would see his world become their world. The Dreadlord learned that his life was to be a life in service to a power far greater then his would ever be: he would help to see the downfall of the Ruinous Powers and the time when the Children of Khaine would rule the universe once again. Blood and Souls for Khaine!!!! Blood and Souls!!!! Sa'an'ishar!!!!!!!!
War Cry) 1) “Sa'an'ishar!!!!” (this one I have personally used before in Ultimate Frisbee and belive me, it sounds awesome being bellowed incredibly loudly at a large communal gathering!) 2) “For Khaine!”
Dislikes) 1) Squigs with an attitude. 2) Chaos rats that snort too much warpstone.
Sa'an'ishar!!!!!!!!

Okay, so after talking with Shannon and figuring some things out- got it approved to withdraw the Beastlord and enter in my Skaven Assassin instead. So here goes. Snickerslit the Skaven Assassin Skaven Assassin Weeping Blades Armour of Silvered Steel Dawnstone Tail Weapon 228 Points (Now, wasn't sure if Skaven assassins were also allowed to go 20 points over their item limit or not as tail weapons are taken from Magic item limitations- if so he's 8 points over and feel free to remove the tail weapon from the equation.) Greetings traveler! Stay awhile and listen as I regale you with the story of the lonely Assassin, Snickerslit. Born to a litter of four hundred, Snickerslit found himself hard pressed to prove himself worthy of a loftier position then that of a simple assassin within Clan Eshin due to having to contend with so many right off the bat- even to live! But a survivor none the less; Snickerslit found himself elevated from Clanrat warrior to Assassin after proving himself, but he wished to go further in life and had to make sure he'd avoid being killed in his sleep from a dagger to the heart... This was made possible when during a mission to butcher a squad of Empire Soldiers in their sleep he came across the Commanders beautiful Shining armor and a pendant of pure silver- a holy symbol to his god. Having no taste for gods, but much taste for shiny protective things Snickerslit took them and donned them as his own, making sure to take the Commanders boots as well. Since this day Snickerslit has made it his mission to slay any and all he can, leaping into battle boldly and sneaking around at night to slaughter as many strong opponents as he was able so he may claim their boots as his own. He felt it gave him some kind of connection to his victum, for their boots held the power of their soul! The secrets of the path they had once walked and these secrets would be his to aid him in his ambitions. One night Snickerslit was committing a routine poisoning in an empire camp when he noticed the most beautiful pair of boots he'd ever set eyes on! Shiny, clean and relatively close to his size. What chance had he encountered these boots, and hey- breaking his own rules once in awhile wouldn't hurt right? Even if he didn't slay the owner of these boots, they would find themselves poisoned after drinking their water in any case so it was almost the same. Distracted by the shinyness of said boots he was barely able to avoid the pit that had been dug around the boots, catching the edge and pulling himself up. A sigh of relief came only too soon as he found himself set upon by robed figures and beatten into unconciousness. Laying chained and sleeping in the back of their wagon all they could hear him squeek in his sleep was "Boots~! My boots!" Figured I'd keep the story relatively similar, as far as focused around boots.
