Still need to finish my march challenge but have started painting up my old 2nd edition Ratling Snipers, I want to have them ready for Friday for a game.

Ratling Snipers were always so cool.
A bit of a shame that GW has moved away from the direct fantasy takes in 40K but I guess it was bound to happen.

April I will be also Painting up some Lychguard, and my last C'tan Shard. If there is time. I took notice of how Shannon did his Flayed ones by converting warriors. I have 10 warriors that I have cut the weapons off but my lack of Green stuff skill is going to show. So might wait until Matt does his class before tackling them.

I have 10 warriors that I have cut the weapons off but my lack of Green stuff skill is going to show. So might wait until Matt does his class before tackling them. how I did mine:
pose the warriors in more lurching ways (easy with crons)
use plasticard to make claws for end of hands and glue on
take your green stuff and make strips like you would for cloth.. attach one end to the back shoulder blade and drape over, then take a toothpick... use the toothpick to drag and rip the green stuff over the body in weird, funky ways... making little rips at the ends to make it look like ragged skin.
repeat on a couple more spots with different sized strips of green stuff.
voila! flayed one!
always make sure the greenstuff is well and dried before priming though... because it's strips of "flesh" it can easily get moved out of position, indented etc. if it's not allowed to dry fully.

Also, if you blend in a bit more blue it'll make your mix stiffer and easier to work with. Don't forget to lick your hands and tools often to keep them from sticking to you.

maybe don't eat glue either...lol

You can use water if you want, but human spit is in my opinion the absolute best non-stick coating when working with green stuff. Also, try not to chew mint gum; I've found it changes your saliva and tends to break down the bonds in the uncured epoxy.
Is it unsafe to lick a knife? Yep!
Do I do it every time I sculpt? Yep!
Plus, chicks dig tongue scars, lol.
EDIT: aww, where did Ray's comment go! Ralph is the best!

I'm slightly concerned this might be leaked footage of Voodoo's "Ultra Super Secret Sculpting" technique. Would explain why no one can replicate his quality of work... lol...

I may be retarded now because of greenstuff toxicity and steady blood loss; but my sculpting is on point, rofl
