For Chaos Daemons, several units share keywords with each other - Bloodletters, Bloodcrushers, and all varieties of heralds of Khorne share the "Bloodletter" keyword, for instance - are you allowed to take only one such "Bloodletter" unit, or would one of each (one herald total, out of the three varieties) be acceptable?

think of it in terms of - is this SPECIAL CHARACTER like another CHARACTER when it comes to if they count or not. ie: Tigirius = librarian Mephiston = librarian Ahriman = exalted sorcerer Typhus = chaos lord Mad Doc = painboy Imotekh = overlord Swarmlord = Hive tyrant Yarrick = lord commissar Urien = Haemonculous Rotigus = Great Unclean one

I have a question for the troop choice thing... DE technically have 3 troop Choices but only can take 1 for each subfaction, so would we share that same ruling as Custodes?

if you take only one subfaction (as you're not allowed to mix in that dex) then yes
so if you took a wych cult army, you aren't allowed to use wracks as troops at all, you only get wyches so it's not a legal choice.

Still can't mix tau and assassin's though... True. But with if the assassins all count as one assassin in highlander style then that means the only way you can take them is in an auxiliary detatchment. that said i haven't seen many people take assassins in this edition, i know i was rocking a vindicare for a while but never faced any (other then on the champs board with one on it)

you have to take a separate vanguard detachment to include any assassins now... and technically with a vanguard detachment you must take three, only other option is an auxiliary detachment that costs you a command point. Until they get an update, I'm not really sure the unit is viable to be honest. Pages 114 and 115 – Vindicare Assassin, Callidus Assassin, Eversor Assassin and Culexus Assassin, Abilities Add the following ability: ‘Execution Force: So long as your Warlord is from the Imperium, you can include this unit in a Vanguard Detachment even if that Detachment contains no HQ units. However, if you do so, that Detachment’s Command Benefits are changed to ‘None’.’ ------------------- As far as how many you're allowed to take - much like C'tan are only one, assassins would only be one. So it would cost you a command point to bring one.... and you're only allowed if your warlord is imperium anyways. ------------------- re: orks as kroot... yeah I know that's what he meant, I was just joking as the above comment, go ahead and proxy so long as you're super clear what the model is to your opponent (as given it's from another army that could get confusing without explanation)
