I briefly glanced at it and I can see it being useful for people who have deepstrike heavy armies and want to easily figure out "half their power level" for Deepstriking, but aside from that; I'd wait for the Matched Play app.

I use power level very occasionally for playing with my son, but honestly it's easier to just use a piece of paper at that point when you're adding up numbers to *maybe* 100.

This is a phenomenal step forward for GW.
However, what I would be concerned about is whether or not a list builder that uses points would be free.
I remember when the new edition Blood Bowl came out not that long ago they heavily advertised the app.
I downloaded it and deleted it within an hour. Anything of use to maintaining your team, or anything beyond the humans and orcs in the starter set you had to pay to add in. I don't mean a simple $5 and here you go, but the same price as a rulebook.
If they make one for competitive play with points, it wouldn't surprise me if they made you buy a digital codex to build an army list.

the point version I can almost guarantee won't be free... sigmar one is "free" but the formations and extras are all cost associated... so yeah, they'll be trying to make some bucks of it luckily... battlescribe still exists
