I also like the idea of PL. I assume we are playing the suggestion for matched play tournament rules where (in this case because we are playing 1000 pt armies) that we are limited to 2 of the same data slates except troops and dedicated transports? Also, are we playing with the beta rules? All beta rules are in effect. So yes, 2 detachments and can only have 2 of each non-troop/non-dedicated transport units.

Was there a change to the beta rules? I remember it saying 3 of a given unit. Or does it depend on point limit and army size?

point limits determine that... 3 detachments and triples for 1,001 - 2,000 points... 2 detachments and only doubles for 0-1,000 points

If terrain is needed, I could bring some tables with me.

If terrain is needed, I could bring some tables with me. We should be okay for terrain for this one (especially since we're having a store terrain building day before then!) but thanks for the offer! (advantage of four people at a table is we don't need as many tables as normal)

More FAQ's:
Q: Can each teammate cast the same spell? So double warptime?
A: - each spell can only be cast once per team, with the exception of smite of course. You're basically "allies of convenience" in 7th edition terms.
Q: Stratagems- Can each teammate use the same stratagems in the same phase? So double veterans of the long war? Double reroll a dice strategem in the same phase?
A: each stratagem can only be used once in the phase so no double veterans of the long war.
Q: How does it work if both teammates have a way to get command points back? Do they both get to roll or do you choose only one person to roll? For example if each can get a command point when their opponents uses a stratagem then do they both roll or just one?
A: you share a command point pool, however if you have two ways of regenerating command points from different sources, then you can attempt them both (ie: Tau 6+ and Imperial Guard 5+) but can only be successful ONCE. (so if the tau player rolls his 6+ AND the guard player their 5+ they only get the one CP back, not double the CP!)
Q: Are relics unique? In other words can teammates with the same army take the same relic? Are warlord traits unique or can teammates take the same warlord trait?
A: relics are unique per team. Warlord traits only affect your own 1k force so can be duplicated.

A: relics are unique per team. Warlord traits only affect your own 1k force so can be duplicated. So, each team gets two warlords? Or is that rule just in there for the purposes of Imperial Knights? As per the first post, I assume each player gets a guy-with-a-warlord-trait, one of whom is the actual warlord for scoring purposes. Does each teammate get a relic, too?

each team mate is allowed to select a relic as they are a stand alone force in most respects. each team member also has a warlord who affects their force only. At the beginning of each game your team chooses one of the warlords as the one who counts for "slay the warlord".

Is there a date to submit lists by?

Is there a date to submit lists by? It is up to the team captain to verify all lists that are going to be present. There's no need to submit lists for this one.
given you're going to be facing opponents all weekend that your expected to hand a copy to your list to, any errors we're encouraging get brought up to the team captain... if that doesn't resolve it, comes to me for fixing...
If you have a question / concern about the list feel free to ask it.
But I have the utmost faith in the team captains : )

The KP mission will be PL
so whomever kills the most power levels worth of models wins the mission.
