As a new player I had this question about overwatch for other Tau Players.
I want to know if the following scenario is correct or simply a misunderstanding on my part.
A Tau Sept Stormsurge has its Stabilizing Anchors down and is within 6 of another Tau Sept unit, drones or something.
The Stormsurge is charged and so fires overwatch.
Overwatch - hits on a 6+ Tau Sept Coordinated Fire Arcs - 5+ and 6+ Stabilizers add 1 to hit rolls - 4+, 5+, 6+
Do the stabilizers add to the overwatch?
It seems like the way they deploy at the end of the shooting phase it was made for overwatch.
If stormsurges are hitting overwatch on a 4+ that seems terrifying and scary.
What do you guys think?

Overwatch is not affected by modifiers, be they negative or positive, unless specifically called out. So the a Tau sept Stormsurge still only hits on 5s.

You do factor in any positive or negative hit modifiers, even when firing Overwatch, but still only hit on unmodified rolls of 6s (or 5s and 6s in the case of T'au Sept) - this can be meaningful if you have, for instance, a rule that means you suffer mortal wounds for each hit roll of 1.
I don't think the Stormsurge has anything like that, though.
