Saga of the Warrior Born is activated by slaying any Character with your Warlord. Here's a quick link to the file whc-cdn.games-workshop.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Space_Wolves_Sagas_Warlord_Traits_print-friendly-version.pdfIMO, pretty much all of them except Saga of Majesty are very doable, the problem is people want to try and find a quick-n-easy way to activate them so they can use it while their army is still mostly alive. If you get past that and just treat it as a Warlord Trait and the Saga as an extra bonus, which ones seem good completely changes. EDIT: After some reading last night and this morning, imo the Armour of Russ is really the only "good" relic. The Wulfen Stone is MODELS within 3", not units and once everyone realizes that it's gunna go from "OMG SO GHUD" to hot trash. The Black Death seems like the other ok Relic, give it to a Lord on Thunderwolf with Saga of the Wolfkin for 5 + D3 Axe Attacks and 3 Mount Attacks. Should make activating the Saga fairly easy.

seems pretty good I guess. I'm kinda with Justin on this one, seems a little too specific but I can see it being decent under those specific circumstances.

Yeah, I'm not like overwhelmed by goodness or anything. Honestly most of the Traits/Relics are pretty weak. The Oomph of this codex is definitely going to be in unit synergy and combat tricks, and that's going to take dedicated players.
At least Space Wolves won't be the FOTM OP army by the looks of it.

i am super enjoying this edition. it's such a great experince compaired to 7th. in 7th every codex just tried to one up the others. this one they are good but not crazy over powered and seem to fit into the semi balance as a actual balance is almost imposible,
they are doing a fantastic job

The Wulfen Stone affects the units, they just have to put the 'models in units' rider because of generalities. It doesn't invoke the 'wholly' clause, so partial or not, all the models in units get the attack buff. That said, it's still objectively the best relic we have. The armour is situational at best, and it's only other benefit is a 4++ which is useless on any character you're gonna put it on to begin with.
The melee weapons are meh, being locked at 1D each, and the helm is the hottest garbage in a good while. The Storm Bolter however is quite good. Probably the relic I'll be taking as the second most times to help bolster my midfield line.
Adding to the Character list, how about this gem:
Venerable Chaplain Dreadnought, two fists, two heavy flamers, with the Wulfen Stone. Just bolt that shit to his sarcophagus. Gets stuck in with the line, giving +1S and +1A bubble while being able to drop a CP to give reroll bubbles as well.
Also, Grey Hunters where you can. Mathmatically they're better than Blood Claws with more flexible options. 3+ bolters are better than one extra attack on the charge, and they can maximize for better True Grit rounds. Plus Banners if you wanna go that far.
