Just as a helping me out kinda thing,
If you're planning on attending this tourney, if you could please sign up in advance (we're at 50% full currently with two weeks left). You don't have to prepay if you don't want to (that isn't in place yet).
How this helps me out is that this tourney has a bit more of a printing requirement than others and I want to make sure I'm prepared.
ie: if I prepare for 24 people and we get the full 40, it's not going to work out so great for anyone.
I realize it's a new tourney format, but that's how we found out how fun crusade and santa were... we tried them out first!

I first read that a painting requirement not printing so I looked back to see what the requirement was and then I realized it said printing. Sent from my SM-G903W using proboards

I'll also put forth that I've adjusted the game length to FIVE turns instead of six so we can hopefully get finished games in time.
In test games it's difficult to get games done in time (2 1/4 hours) due to the newer format, addition of maelstrom, etc. and want to make sure people are feeling like they can complete the mission.

In discussions with Connor on Saturday... fixed the maelstrom point scoring in post one (I misunderstood it in a test game I had with Jordan to be maximum 2/turn when this is actually not the case) and back to six turn cap rather than five. just you know... play fast

IF... and this is a BIG IF....I can get all my orks to Nexus and get my hands on the codex on the 3rd will they be playable for the tournament with the new Codex?
The plan being bring 2000 pts in current index then what ever points I save I just turn into Boyz in the list.
Just before I get my hopes too high I figure I'll ask.

In past tournaments it has been allowed. That said since this is itc ish? style, itc usually allows things after a certain period of time. sooo could be either way

well this isn't ITC... hopefully people don't think that... it's just a way to incorporate maelstrom into a tourney but still have a scoring metric for most of the points so it's not so swingy with the cards. I think Connor did a bang up job on the mission, and I'd gladly play it three games in a row myself it's that fun! (and keeps games super close)
regarding the ork question, if the book is there and you can swing it, I'd love to see them on the board and see what they can do.

Any requirements as far as WYSIWYG? I have a buddy that I think would.be interested but I also know he usually has to pretend his havoks have lascanons instead of plasma canons

I have a buddy that I think would.be interested but I also know he usually has to pretend his havoks have lascanons instead of plasma canons 100% sure this is fine aslong as he points out at the start of the game they are las. I know my Tau commanders dont have all the WYSIWYG weapons on them and I have never had a issue.

What??? Jordan isn't being WYSIWYG?
faith in our 40k community shattered....
.....oh as to the original question - just make sure they tell their opponent ahead of time and it won't be an issue. So yeah what Jordan said.

For this tourney I'm going to try something based on the feedback from last tourney...
Sportsmanship isn't on the score sheet, however it is part of the event.
We are going to assume you're all awesome and gave one another a thumbs up.
If our assumption is incorrect, and you had the dreaded THUMBS DOWN experience... please come up to Ali or Mike at the counter and advise... people were not feeling very comfortable putting the thumbs up/ thumbs down on the score sheet - mainly because your opponent was right there watching generally.
We'll still have "thumbs down" be progressive penalty as per last time....
As well... for this tourney only, the score sheet is a little bigger than normal... I've made it so that it counts as a tracking sheet for both players... has check boxes for each round... so you can track "hold objective" "kill a unit" "hold more" "kill more" and "maelstrom" points earned each round.
