So I realzied that i have a large amount of beasts of chaos models already in the form of tzaangors so why not play beasts of chaos too. So I've thrown together a quick list with stuff i have plus a couple things ill end up picking up shortly. But heres what im thinking.
Allegiance: Beasts Of Chaos
- Greatfray: Gavespawn
(gives all my characters the ability to turn into spawns on a 2+ when they die.and gives me some cool relics and command trait. command ability allows me to pick a unit within 12" of a spawn and add one to the attack characterists of them.)
LEADERS
Tzaangor Shaman (180)
- General
- Command Trait : Unravelling Aura
(the required trait for a Gavespqn. Lets be unbind an additional time.)
- Lore of the Twisted Wilds : Wild Rampage
(gives a unit reroll wounds but gets -1 to saves)
Great Bray Shaman (100)
- Lore of the Twisted Wilds : Tendrils of Atrophy
(gives an enemy unit -1 to the saving throws)
Dragon Ogor Shaggoth (180)
- Artefact : Mutating Gnarlblade
(required artefact for GaveSpawn, gives a weapon 2 additional damage but takes 1 mortal wound on unmodified hit rolls of 1's. But his damae would be 5 for his axe. 3 attacks hitting on 3s/3s/-1/5. Should be able to kill some bigger stuff with it)
- Lore of Dark Storms : Sundering Blades
(pick a friendly unit and their rend is increased by 1)

Im stuck taking two units of ungors due to the gfact they are battleline. ungor raiders are not which sucks since i have 20 painted. Also both bestigors and tzaangors are battleline if you have a certain warlord thats why my tzaangor shaman is the warlord. With the cmmand ability ican give my tzaangors an additinal attack and having the shaman near by they get +1 wound. so theyll all have 4 attacks at 3/3/-/1 and 3 attacks with their beaks at 4/4/-/1. If i get the spells off i could buff them to have reroll wounds and rend on all those attacks. Theyll be able to chop through pretty much anything, well at least im hoping.
The Bray Shaman will gives units an extra 3" movement so tzaangors are now 9" and adding the cogs will make them pretty darn quick.
Ive also got the Herdstone, didn't have it on the list but its free, so why wouldn't you take it. The crappy ungors will surround it to get sacrificed so i can summon more skyfirers since that's all the extra stuff i own but eventually maybe a chimera or something else fun. Herdstone also makes my dudes fearless within 6" and -1 to saving throws for enemies near it. The aura increases every turn too, So buy turn 3 its 18" fearless and -1 to saves. So even if im fighting ghosts ill be able to get ride of their saves with the herd stone and one of the powers since its lowering the die rolls.
What do you guys think of this? I thought about taking of the god battlalions but all it gives me is more unbind attempts for all my units with a 9" range for 200pts. not worth it to me, though the army would be a 2 drop then, one for the herdstone and another for the rest of the army.
