Yeah I'm very likely buying two kits... one as the special character, one as a regular keeper (then I have Zara still of course...lol)

I still don't think they're going to make it into combat all that reliably... a lot is going to depend on getting that first turn, some defensive buffs and threat overload of course... But how reliably does magnus go down in a turn or two? (pretty often) so I'm not sure a keeper is going to fare any better at less wounds and much worse invul with no way of improving other than that super expensive stratagem that you have to use per phase!

But I'm hoping beyond hope that the shield option gives +1 to invul... or -1 to hit... or reroll 1's on saves...a FNP... or SOMETHING defensive...

But even if they're exactly the same as they are now but with 16 wounds I'm still getting the kit because they're amazing looking

hmmmm the 360 view of the herald/prince guy makes him better... but I'm still just not sure if I like it still...

$170 for the keeper seems a little unreasonable... $30 more than the LOC and thirster kits?

Only $10 more than Magnus though, and he doesn't come with any extra parts. Depending on size, I can see it; I don't agree with it, but it's consistent with other similarly sized kits.

so they increased the point cost of the keeper by 85 points (for the shield version... 75 if you took the hand/whip)

for +4 wounds, +1 strength on the sword, 6+ FNP, an extra -1AP on the snapping claws (with more attacks) and +1 BS

at first I thought "bad trade" but the more I think about it, it seems that this is pretty on par with the rest.

A bloodthirster is still more survivable for the same points and way more so with the armor of scorn (getting the increased invul and same FNP that gives rerolls if make it). But maybe there'll be a relic Aegis that helps

Shalaxi seems like a beast, in combat but I'm unsure how he/she will be allowed to cross the board with a 5++/6+++?

The Syll is fantastic and a must take... the epitome is pretty great too... wasn't considering it before but now... yep

Thing is... I'm going to want to jam about 7 expensive characters in a list...lol

Even after all the changes, I think the Keepers are about 10% overcosted.
