There's no rule of two anymore with datasheets... changed with 9th (see pg. 280 in the core rulebook) it's always rule of three now, regardless of game size.
But at the 1k level it is a max of two detachments.

Smaller than last year Last year was 1500 points, wasn't it? Or am I crazy?

So. I have to cancel for the tournament tomorrow. My mother in law fell and hurt her self. So if you call nexus you can take my spot.
I already paid so I believe you just have to get a gift.

While I am guessing this spot has already been filled, for future reference is this a good tournament for someone who hasn't played since 7th or would the opponents get annoyed pretty quick with the lack of knowledge of rules?

Yes it's a very fun over competitive tournament. I'd call down tomorrow and or stop by as sometimes there are day of cancellations.

While I am guessing this spot has already been filled, for future reference is this a good tournament for someone who hasn't played since 7th or would the opponents get annoyed pretty quick with the lack of knowledge of rules? This is one of our friendliest tournaments of the year. Low points, everything narrative and actively NOT wanting overpowered lists at it. There is ZERO prize for winning this tournament, so there's really no point someone trying to power game. (and it's VERY bad form to be "that guy" at this tournament. So I'd say if you haven't played since 7th, you'll find this would be the best first tourney to go to, as literally everyone is just there to have fun! Low points, lots of time. You'd be totally fine.

If you're on the waitlist (or just want a spot) be there between 9 to 9:15... if someone drops you immediately get the spot...
Currently there is actually one open spot (online it says Jason but he dropped), and if you're on the wait list make sure you're there, because we still might be able to get people in.

Fun day of gaming! The 1000 point format meant that I could try a new army - I need more Warriors though! Games went smoothly and within the time. Tables were well done.
Among my casualties was my tape measure - blew up in my first game!
