It's still not yet released but I wanted to see if there were any old Battlefield 1942 players here. I know I'll be playing it a ton when it hopefully comes out next month.

I am a huge 1942 fan, played the snot out of that back in the day.
I have 1943 for the PS3, it's a lot of fun as well but not as good as the '42 days. Some of the best maps were German / US maps.
Any idea what is changing for '43 on PC vs the PS3 version (if anything?)

I really have no idea but you're right: there must be some differences, based on the length of time it's taken to port the game to PC, if nothing else.
I agree, though: I wish they'd chosen a different theatre for the maps.
Btw, what name did you use for BF1942?

Have you given Bad Company 2 a go? It's pretty fun.

Right on, all in all, I was in CAG, BBY, HPSF, 52ndCG, and 1stInF, most as a heavy tanker with CAG but almost exclusively as a pilot with the others.
Anyway, I haven't pickup up BC2 yet... although I fully intend on doing so. It certainly looks great but how's the actual gameplay?

BC2 is top notch imo as far as FPS games go.
