Followup: www.goonhammer.com/draconith-rider-the-goonhammer-hot-take/Couldn't agree more. The mind-boggling thing is seeing die hard SCE players inventing conspiracy theories that GW is pandering to those who hate goldenbois by pre-nerfing their new toy... like relax guys it's still the best unit in the game by a mile, you just need to buy 1 less box of em

saving me money? thanks GW! They were too strong out the gate. I'm pretty sure their warscroll needs changing more so than the points though. And yes, I want them

Same. They're at the top of the list for next SCE purchases, and probably would be even if they were mediocre. I think there's a subset of players who just can't understand why somebody would want something they use nerfed. Maybe they weren't around to see riptides or leviathan dreads pummel the entire hobby into submission lol

The Models are cool and I'll be grabbing some on pre-order day. I think it's just one of the things that is really important only if you are hardcore in to the competitive scene. Are they strong - you betcha, maybe too strong - only time will tell. I think they will be on the table regardless.
I do think that if they are talking balance there is a lot of game breaking stuff that needs to be addressed (Foxes) as well.

I'm definitely glad GW has decided to act sooner rather than later on this one. I'd love to see people put their cool looking dragons on the table to cheers rather than groans.
Everyone hated playing against the first Hedonites book, so they broke their OP abilities (good) and then pointed them into the ground (not great) in the second. I hope Lumineth isn't set up for the same fate because of their sentinels and foxes, two units that seem to be more oppressive than fun. High quality, long range shooting with no los required is super strong in a melee focused game, who knew?
Either way, it's my hope that if balance happens sooner, rather than later, it's less likely to be a knee-jerk, nerf hammer into oblivion, to appease the ever growing volume of jeers from the masses.
