It's actually pretty staggering just how fast nearly every tier 1 list from before these books dropped was obliterated from the metagame.
Feels like just yesterday we were debating the efficacy of crusher stampede lists and now they, along with nearly everything else, would be lucky to secure even a single podium.
It probably goes without saying but if GW can't restrain the codex creep no amount of regular balance patches is going to help. Took them a year to reign in DE and I'm not sure that in this meta they would even be worth nerfing in the first place.

I wouldn't be surprised if a massive nerf for To The Last is coming down the pipe, almost every top tier list is based on exploiting TTL choices right now to force an "auto 15" in a secondary slot.
I normally wouldn't speculate but I would wild-guess that anything with the Character keyword will likely get excluded from TTL picks, if the secondary doesn't just get outright nuked/reworked.
May Dataslate is just ~6 weeks away too.

Don't worry, they've got CSM on the horizon, and Nids and Knights before that no one will be thinking codex creep anymore, if history is any indicator of the future.

Nids book is pretty fun (going to try it out on Saturday)... but it's not going to hit podiums I don't think, as Tau/Custodes are kind of a hard counter to them, and they're really dominant right now. It's not like getting the extra pip of toughness and armor is going to help against tau lol.

Well usually when the creep gets this bad people only stop thinking about it because they drift away from the game completely. Happened in 5th, 7th, and then they flirted with it in 8th with the marine supplements. Plus of those three, two of them are from factions that GW traditionally enjoys dumping on, so there's a good chance only 0-1 of them even make a meta splash worth noting. By the numbers secondary selection and scoring is almost totally irrelevant to actual table performance, so if the solution to the current meta state is to muck around with secondaries I would expect it to do... well if not literally nothing pretty darn close.
