Hi I'm moving to the Kingston Area this September. I was wondering if there are any Titanicus Players around (trying to decide which wargames I bring with me and which ones go into Storage)
Also wondering about the Horus Heresy comunity : are there many of you and what are your thoughts on 2nd ed. vs old edition ?

(haven't bought onto it yet, have a soft spot for the old one, but am willing to learn it if everyone in the area is playing 2nd)

Hey there! Titanicus was unfortunately never popular here, despite me buying pretty heavily into it.
30k on the other hand is blossoming! Check out the Horus Heresy section of the forum under the 40k banner. Lots of activity. We're playing exclusively 2nd edition. 1st didn't have a huge foothold here. Still time to get in on the League, we've only just started.
I've played both editions, though not much of 1st, though I did play a hell of a lot of 7th Ed 40k, which 1st edition heresy was pretty much copy and pasted from. Heresy 2.0 is currently my favourite game system. I've played more warhammer in the past four weeks than in almost 6 months before that. It took a lot of the nitty-gritty bits of 7th, and combined it with the quality of life improvements of 8/9th 40k and smushed them together in an incredibly evocative setting. Also helps that the Age of Darkness box set is currently one of the cheapest ways to get a massive starter army compared to the other game systems GW currently has.
Reactions are really where the game shines. They keep you involved in both you and your opponent's turn and introduce a deeply tactical element to the game for both players.
Plus the models are absolutely gorgeous (the spacewolf upgrade sprue previewed today notwithstanding)

If you do You have yourself a "Giant Robot rumble" partner come September (I have a nice In progress Vulturum legion)
