www.darkmillenniumonline.comApparently, it's now been officially unveiled. The trailer is neat. My major concern thus far is under the written description of the game, it refers to siding with the forces of order or destruction. I'm not terribly fond of that dichotomy.

They took the idea from WAR I'm sure. Plus it's easier to balance (or attempt to balance) 2 factions instead of trying to balance 6 individual ones.
Would be great if they could make it work on that scale, but I'm sure that would take decades for programmers to work out and I can't see any project staying active that long.
*sighs* instead we have to take what they gives us or just not play at all

Aye, true enough... or keep it simple by skipping ahead 1000 years into the future when the entire universe is Tau.

I really hope it isn't like WAR, i played Warhammer Online to the highest tiers / ran a very large guild and having only two sides was a major drawback for the game imo.
Having multiple armies to join would be awesome.

I agree with both RedShirt & Justice... completely different factions would be ridiculously awesome but I don't expect they'll even attempt to pull it off because it would be nigh impossible.
If each faction *was* different, though, It would be interesting to find out what people would play...

Space Marine should be out on console before that. Look quite pretty!
Firewarrior annoyed me so much...some of the cutscenes and the like were very pretty, and it was cool to see some of the things that they put in, but after games like Red Faction and I believe Half Life, for them to go back to a Doom style "corridors and keycards" playstyle was just frustrating.

Looking forward to Space Marine....just hoping it's not a short game and that it has some replay value....nothing worse than a game with about 6hrs of game time and no reason to play it again.
