So I realized I was just a book short of running maggotkin of nurgle since I own a full nurgle daemon army, plus you know, I've always really liked the glottkin model. So here's an idea:
Allegiance: Maggotkin of Nurgle
- Subfaction: Befouling Host (beasts of nurgle are battleline and I get a second gnarlmaw)
- Grand Strategy: Corrupt Arcane Nexus (have one of my casters within 3" of middle at end of game)
- Triumphs: Bloodthirsty
Leaders
The Glottkin (700)
- Lore of Malignance: Rancid Visitations (roll a dice for each model in a unit within 7" on a 2+ take a mortal)
Great Unclean One (495)
- General
- Bile Blade & Doomsday Bell
- Command Trait: Nurgling Infestation (-1 to be hit)
- Artefact: Tome of a Thousand Poxes (can cast the gift of disease spell in addition at +1)
- Lore of Virulence: Favoured Poxes (until move/cast/attack give a unit -1 to hit & wound and -1 to their saves)
Epidemius, Tallyman of Nurgle (145) (his tally gives me dice I can use for rerolls)

So the glottkin and the GUO both count as a locus so everything else heals D3 wounds a turn when it's within 14" of them. not so great for the small daemons, but for Beasts with their 8 wounds, this is pretty nice (nurglings heal completely at the end of any turn already)
The two big boys try and hold the middle. They take up a LOT of real estate and their buffs can carry pretty far. Nurglings drop in opponents' backfield, hiding there and generating 3 contagion points a turn in addition to the 3 from my own side of the board and the 2 from the double gnarlmaws plus 1-3 from the bell. 9-11/turn should get me that free GUO by turn four at the latest.... or you know, a unit of plaguebearers etc. turn two. Beasts are running around, charging things and generally having their version of fun.
