I want a better way of removing moldlines than what I'm currently doing. I found a tool on the GW site meant for it, but it seems over priced. As such, I turn to you fine folk to ask what you all use to get rid of moldlines? Where did you get whatever tool you use?

I'm super lazy, and probably not as careful as I should be. So I just use my hobby knife to scrape them off. Sometimes I may take off just a little too much, but I can't say I've ever noticed after it was painted.
I've heard mixed things on the GW remover. Some have said it was great, others that it was pretty pointless. But it most definitely is more expensive than it should be.

What are you using now?
Same for me, I use a "dull" hobby blade, one that's past it's useful life but hasn't snapped the tip off yet. Pretty much the same effect you'll get from the GW mould line tool. So, for the price of a second handle, you may save sinking those hobby bucks into that tool

I just use a hobby knife... I picked up these sanding sticks to try them out and they're fine, but definitely don't last near as long.

Hobby knife crew reporting in. the trick is to not shave them off like you're cutting cheese, but to hold it perpendicular to the mold line and go back and forth. Does the trick.

Hobby knife is my go to as well. I tend to use the back side of the blade to avoid dulling the edge. After itโs scraped down I use my finger nail to smooth out the plastic.

I use a hobby knife as well, but one thing that I have difficulty with is if there's a moldline on the inside of a hole. The surface often comes out jagged, I'm wondering if a citadel moldline remover would get a smoother finish

I too use the back of a hobby knife but I also have a GW mould line remover which came in a set, so I'll break that out along with the sandpaper if I'm doing a big batch at once. I wouldn't pay full price for it but it's useful enough, the curved side and the thickness of the metal makes it useful especially for old GW plastics which tend to have some pretty bad mould slips.
