Realized my previous thread probably should've been organized into a couple of separate ones to better keep track of factions, so this will be kept strictly Dark Angels

This is probably the only list I'll run as the Unforgiven Detachment, just for fun. The Detachment is meh, the Battle-Shock bonuses feel more gimmicky than legitimate, although the Enhancements are solid and the detachment has some really good strats. I think the flexibility of the Gladius means thats the auto take normally. Im iffy on the Ballistus and Black Knights currently, but Im lacking in high strength shooting, and mobility (although I can deep strike a chunk of my list to help lessen that). The Lion is great, and extremely durable this edition (the ability for a 2+,3++,4+++ in 10th vs a 2+,4++ goes a long way toward keeping him alive long enough to connect with an opposing unit). I've only played a couple of games with this version so this is a pretty early draft

This list is likely what I'll be bringing to the Leviathan Tournament on Saturday, barring any last minute changes tomorrow. Captain will go with the command squad and Chaplain with one of the Knight squads. The Lion will move up likely alongside the command squad but can move elsewhere to help provide support to my flanking units. Black knights as a full squad because I still need mobility and some extra anti-tank options... not entirely sure how they'll perform but this is the time to experiment. Infiltrators for the usual reason, Intercessors to hold my back line or tag it and move on as needed, and Infernus marines to round things off with a new unit just to see how they feel

Trying to mess around until something sticks, so feedback on these lists will be greatly appreciated*
*I'm mostly building with units I have and I likely wont be investing too heavily into upgrading my existing armies until after/around their codex releases

I found it performed quite well overall, the Intercessors never ended up getting to sticky my home objective and move on, however they did their job scoring me primary points. The Infernus marines while not very tough were a very handy bodyguard unit for the Lion as he moved along my opponents flanks, as the extra inch of movement vs my Terminators allowed them to stick within 3" to provide Lone Operative. Their Pyreblasters were handy to provide damage in overwatch, softening targets for the Lion to finish. They didn't last more than a battle round and a half on average but that provided more than enough support for their points. My Deathwing Knight units excelled as durable melee threats that I split between 1 unit with the Chaplain moving up a flank and the 2nd in deep strike to rapid ingress in my opponents backline and threaten their home objective, and both units were able to tank huge amounts of damage and tie up critical targets as needed. My command squad died in the bottom of the first battle round in game 1, but they held strong in the middle of the battlefield game 2 and farmed sustained hits (they didn't get on any objectives but they took down Rotigus and a Deathshroud unit and pressured the core of my opponents force. The Black Knights felt solid as a 6 man unit, and will likely be a staple unit for me in future lists. The Lion proved to be a largely unkillable melee monster that when running up with the Infernus squad force opponents to commit large amounts of their shooting to try and stop him from connecting. Almost everything he connected with died within the first round of combat, with a Heavy Intercessor squad being the only unit he couldn't take down before they fell back. I think theres definitely things I can tweak and some units I could swap out, but this felt like a fairly solid rounded list that could play both the primary and secondary games.

Testing the Vanguard Spearhead with this list initially allowed to me figure out a rough core to future lists: Azrael, 10x Deathwing Knights w/Chaplain to infiltrate, Ballistus + Redemptor, 2x 5 Infiltrators and 5x Scouts. The black Knights+ Sammael in this list were more of a fun choice because I hadn't had a chance to run him previously, and the Bladeguard were a replacement for an additional 5x Dw Knights that I could run Azrael with. Intercessors were a point filler unit. Felt like the list had a lot of mobility and options, but definitely needed a little more staying power. The bikes presented a solid threat, but shooting or melee could quickly overwhelm them. It's got some strong elements, but a few things that bring it down. It'll win games, but if the brick is ignored, my other units are small enough to be taken out quickly with concentrated fire/melee.

Finding from my recent game, the 10x Deathwing Knight brick + Chaplain w/Blade Driven Deep is a really powerful way to mess with how my opponents play the game, infiltrating into the centre of the battlefield denies primary + secondary scoring with minimal effort allowing my other units to focus their efforts elsewhere. Adding the 2nd 5x Dw Knights + Strikemaster gives me a deep striking unit I can use to threaten my opponents backline or reinforce objectives as needed (that I can pick back up in my opponents fight phase with a stratagem and deploy again my next turn, constantly applying pressure). Azrael leading the Hellblaster Brick with a Lieutenant has been useful so far, being quickly targeted, but earning their points back and forcing my opponent to commit heavily to deal with them early giving my Knights time to create additional objectives before they began being picked off.
Still need more testing, but Im pretty happy with the results so far.

What is your plan if you come up against a forward deployment who wins roll and blocks out big chunks of mid board?

Thats probably not a game that starts in my favor. I'd lose the advantage of sitting in the mid board for the first turn, and my DW Knights would have to spend a turn advancing before either moving onto or charging the centre. (5" of movement giving me up to 11" on an advance, averaging out to something like 9.5" of movement, if I deploy right on the line of my deployment zone or just over it if Im lucky, I'll have the centre secured by the 2nd battle round). It's definitely possible to lose the full squad in a single round of shooting, but highly unlikely (given the 2+/4++, 4+++ vs mortals and -1 Dmg with 4 wounds per model), so I should still have a good chunk of my squad left when my turn rolls around.
Hellblasters have assault, so I can advance them the first round to get their guns in position to start softening the mid field, and the Redemptor + Ballistus can provide additional fire support. I'd ideally just need to open up a single flank enough to bring in my other DW Knights mid field (assuming Im screened out of their DZ). They're less good than they used to be with full re-rolls, but sustained + lethal at strength 7/8 is still solid, and they have a 4++ as long as Azrael is alive, buying them some protection from my opponents attacks.
As well, I can relocate units as needed back within my own lines with the Guerilla Tactica strat to protect them or bait my opponent (after either wiping an enemy unit in the fight phase, or denying a charge with Calculated Feint, pulling back D6").
In theory, I've got at least some answers, in reality I'd need more practice to be confident. And everything will still come down to a combination of random dice rolls and secondary objectives, which could throw the game in either players favor regardless of who had the advantage (certain combinations of fixed objectives will mess with me regardless, if my opponent can score without very little interaction, Im likely fighting for my life no matter what)
**Also, not 100% sure if my math checks out properly, full honesty I struggle a fair amount with a lot of math related stuff so feel free to correct anything that seems off
