Oh, also possible problem for the future! Sydonian Dragoons have a largely useless loadout with a gun instead of a lance. The gun and lance versions are getting split into two different datasheets so they can have different abilities.
If there's not clear direction or careful errata on this... It could be possible to run three units of both the gun and the lance version. Which you'd do because they're T7 bodies with seven wounds for around 60 points each. So there's a possible degenerate list that has twenty seven Ironstrider bodies on the field, all advancing and shooting with strat support to advance and charge. That's around 1550 points, so fill the rest with Skitarii and survivability.
Maybe take this with the new Rad Zone that's pushed out an extra six inches and use Dragoons at 10" move to keep opponents pinned in the battleshock risk zone.

The final point seems to be that your Codex detachment isn't going to matter much since the core of an AdMech army is going to be one or two blocks of Breachers, support and transport delivered skitarii, and as many chickens as you can afford.
I'm not really interested in that or scrambling for advantage while playing an army against type. I have enough of a backlog that I can work on other things until 11th edition.

Was really disappointed when I saw fulgorite electro priests not go down. I really like them but they’re kinda underwhelming especially without a dominus.
65 points for stilts man is… steep for what he does. I’m even one of the few people that like that model but I really don’t see a use for him other than a cheap body on a back objective. Which isn’t bad but also not how I hoped he would be.
Seems like not a lot changed still excited to try explorator maniple though!

I mean his purpose (with that super long range sniper gun) seems to be a support character remover. And with three damage, most characters are going down in one or two hits.

Yeah I’m still going to try him out but 1 shot at strength 5 ap -2 damage 3 isn’t gonna drop much. I honestly believe his best roll is going to be a cheap deep strike denier and backfield holder and I’m fine with that for 65. It will be cool the few games that long man does drop a character!

Honestly? Two of those stilt-men running around the battlefield would terrify me as a Necron player.
Because the various Crypteks (who are very important support characters in any of my lists) are very squishy with T4, 4 wounds and a 4+ save (with only one variant getting an invul). Yes I have a strat that lets a character get back up at the end of the phase, but it requires that I save a CP and can only do it once per game per character.
And depending on which cryptek gets blasted into bits? My units can get much more vulnerable for the remainder of the phase.

For a modest investment of 15 points more than stiltsman you can take a Vindicare Assassin - same special rules, but with a S7 D3+3 (D3+6 on a Critical Hit) damage sniper that can ignore all saves once per game. Heavy, Ignores Cover, and Devastating Wounds too. Stiltsman might see play, but nobody is running one unless they already have a Vindicare in their list.

Every AdMech gun with precision does 3 or D3 damage. I'm not sure there are any characters with less than four wounds.
HOWEVER
Every Skitarii squad has one BS4 precision shot. Every 45 point Dragoon with a Radium Jezzail has one BS4 precision shot. Stiltboy isn't even needed as a sniper at that volume.

I honestly thought that the stiltman was going to get the old towering rule while being lone operator. Can see and been seen through any terrain with true LoS but hard to shoot back at cause of Lone Op. Would have been cool and flavourful of him peaking over walls and in windows.
