Those new Companion look really cool. I like the new Belial as well, although I'll miss his old back banner.
My wallets gonna feel this one... I want at least 2 of the army boxes, and a couple of the Companions

Those Companions look awesome. Finecast Belial was a good model, but this one is a great replacement. His rules in 10th are a little “meh”, but we’ll see.
The upgrade sprue is good news, but it will be sad to say farewell to the Deathwing Terminator box we’ve had for ten years that had so many options.
The Deathwing will continue to march! Better start saving….

One of the few Chaos armies Shannon doesn't own.

One of the few Chaos armies Shannon doesn't own. There is a room in the Rock waiting for him.

That dark purple-y red robe colour looks amazing on those models. I don't know the lore behind it but that dude has fashion sense.

Liking the aesthetic for all of these. Not so sure my wallet will like the price. But then, I do own examples of every generation of terminator & I will need the new codex......

The Ravenwing detachment looks playable from the reveals today. Looks like some changes to the Ravenwing Command Squad including making the Champion a Character. Good quality of life change allowing for them to use enhancements without just the Chaplain on a Bike.
Not sure if I would take more than three Outrider squads, but being able to advance and still be eligible to shoot every turn could be good for Tactical Objectives.
Sadly, it looks like the Talonmaster might zoom off into Legends. They had quite a run there in 8th and 9th...

Those are some hard to shift units for sure!

I don't seem them a ton and there are some major draw backs to mounted units. I do miss the days of the 30 bike white scars. I think it would be cool to get this back for the Raven wing.

I don't know the previous point costs but it looks like knights are up 40-60 pts if memory servers. Will be interesting with what has been teased if they will be too much to stop a deathwing surge. Overall they look pretty decent those, and definitely fall into the 10th edition game play of "LESS RE-ROLLS" lol

I like the detachment, the army wide +1 to wound, and the re-roll wounds strat feel solid, especially if Azrael gets the Deathwing Keyword (passing it onto a hellblaster unit feels good).
Deathwing Knights got hit hard, a 5 man squad went from 235 to 290, so a 55 point hike, and their sword profiles are weak (5 attacks, ws2+ s6 ap-2 d1). We havent seen the maces yet, but even if the maces stay the same, a 10 man unit now costs 580 points before characters, vs the current 470 (assuming DWKs dont see a unit size cap). You'd lose a lot of durability, but it would be better to just switch to Deathwing Terminators with th/ss and fill out the extra points with more scoring units. I wouldn't be too surprised to see that point cost be brought down pretty quickly, or they'll be doa
That being said, Im still going to try out a full Deathwing list again because I like my terminators, even if the list might struggle

Wait a second...Belial is 85 points?
And they get the full votann judgement token rules against units on one objective per turn
And an extra wound in all their terminators?
AND -1 damage?
So they're better death shroud with the rule that death guard got taken from them? Someone check on Kevin... He will not be okay!
