This event is a five round, two-day Warhammer 40k tournament at the Kingston Gaming Nexus: 270 Bagot St. Kingston, ON. Admission to the tournament is $50.
Sign up is in advance at Kingston Gaming Nexus. Full payment is required to reserve your spot at the tournament.
This tournament will have a maximum limit of 32 players. There will be a waiting list created, however we will not under any circumstances go above 32 players.
A copy of the signup list will be posted on the Kingston Warhammer forum; however you cannot sign up via the forum, only at the store or online at the Kingston Gaming Nexus website.
The date of the event is Saturday February 17, 2024 and Sunday February 18, 2024. Doors open 8:30 AM. Dice roll at 9:00 AM.
This will be a 2,000 point tournament. No list can be submitted with points above this limit at all, even a 2,001 point list is not allowed!
Legend units are not permitted.
Players must construct their list using current 10th edition rules taking into consideration any current FAQ's for their armies.
Rules cut off: Any codex that is released by February 3, 2024 is permitted. This provides two weeks for any relevant FAQ to be released, or in the absence of an FAQ, any rulings which need to be in place. If a codex is released between February 4, 2024 and the day of the tournament, it will not be permitted to be used, and the index version of the army must be used instead.
Scoring: Will be a Win/Loss/Draw format. We will be using Best Coast Pairings for this tournament. It is highly recommended that you download the BCP app (it’s free!) prior to the tournament commencing, as it will allow you to easily see your matchups each round.
Painting: This is a fully painted event. No models may be used which are not to a three color minimum standard.
Best Table: In addition to our trophies for Best General, Best Overall and Best Painted (Best Sportsman will be placed on Nexus’ memorial Mark Figge trophy), there will be an award for the best table. To enter your table for this competition, you must provide all the terrain on the table, and you must register with the tournament organizer prior to the tournament occurring. There will be a sign up posted on the Kingston Warhammer forum.
