And while I've more or less gotten my list locked in, I'm going to hold off for a bit to see if there are more balance 'tweaks' occurring.

I think Johnathan is right I would highly suggest waiting until the 25th points updates to submit your list. FEB 1st is still plenty of time

I was holding off for the balance dataslate too. The rumours for the changes to imperial knights are pretty juicy! Hoping they’re true

yeah I'm not expecting lists to be finalized until after the balance dataslate. If we aim for the same cutoff as codexes (Feb 3) to get lists in then I think we'll be good.
Once lists are submitted I encourage everyone to check them out to review them... 32 sets of eyes spots errors way quicker than 1 (old tired) set after all!

“I also Noticed some people signed up on BCP but have yet to sign up with us. -Eric Morrin -Keegan Rae“
I paid through the nexus website does it still say I’m not signed up?

Tournament is full.
We will not be expanding however Nexus will maintain a wait list. Should someone drop them the spot automatically gets offered to whomever is on the wait list.
So if you're in the tournament and something comes up where you cannot make it, please contact Nexus ASAP so we can reach someone on the wait list in time.

Can we get a clarification on reserves rules please. The rules are very ambigious and it would be good to have it laid out clearly before list locks. My understanding is that the restrictions are 500 pts of reserves and 500 pts for strategic reserves (units with deep strike) and the total number of units in reserve cannot be more than half your armie's toral number of units. Just wanted to confirm that this is correct and how it will be run at clubs.

I am not the TO! But I assume we are using the Leviathan Games Mission Deck? If so, "no more than half of the number of units in a player's army can start the battle in Reserves, and the combined points total of those units cannot be more than half the total of their army."
The main rule book (pamphlet?) state that for a 2000 point game you can have no more than 500 points in Strategic Reserves. It also states that "all Strategic Reserves are also technically Reserves units..." I love that they used "technically." The best kind of correct.
So, if I have a 2000 point Deathwing army with eight units in could have four units in Reserves as long as they also cost no more than 1000 points combined. If I put units into Strategic Reserve then those cannot total more than 500 points and they are counted against the 1000 points. So if I have no units in Strategic Reserve I can have four units totaling no more than 1000 points in Reserves (able to Deep Strike). If I put 500 points of units into Strategic Reserves then I can only have 500 in Reserves that can Deep Strike while still respecting the restriction of no more than half the number of units in Reserves (which includes both types).
At least that is my understanding!

Sorry... was out so just getting back home now...
I'm not sure what's ambiguous, but as usual I might be missing some weird combo that is blatantly obvious to others.
Rules say 25% of your army can be in strategic and no more than half in reserves (ie: deep strike)
so as Iain stated - up to 500 strategic and at max a further 500 in other reserves for a 2k game.
So, you're correct as far as I understand the rules.

With the other bit that if you place nothing in Strategic Reserves you could have 1000 in Reserves as long as they are no more than half your units. Those 1000 points would have to be units that something on their data sheet (Deep Strike) that allows it.

sorry I should have been more specific, it was whether you could have say 450 points of normal reserves and 550 of stuff with deep strike or if it had to be 500 / 500.

Deep strike is normal Reserves. The only cap on Reserves is that they cannot be more than half your points and units. Strategic Reserves are a sub-set with a hard cap of points by game size.
So in a 2000 point game you can have up to 1000 points in Reserves, 500 points of which could be Strategic Reserves.
If you put 600 points of units with Deep Strike in Reserves you could only have 400 points in Strat Reserves. If you only put 400 points in Deep Strike then you could put 500 points in Strategic Reserves due to the 500 point hard cap.
If you put nothing in Strategic Reserves then you could put up to 1000 in Reserves if those units have Deep Strike (or some other ability?) on their data sheet.
