Quinn could not help but to step out of the shadows to watch. The mutated carnies and nightmare clowns gathered around him, and lined the path on either side of the two combatants. Sir Mordred Jaegar rode with purpose, slowly surveying the macabre host around him, finally settling on the bloody vampiress walking towards him. Yuki did not seem to notice or care about the leering host around her. Edwards' blood still dripped from her lips, but she still had one more to feed from....

Sir Mordred Jaegar remained calm, completely unaffected by the surging emotions of hatred that swirled around him. Quinn held his amulet in a death grip, trying to affect the knight, but he seemed to be protected somehow. Quinn didn’t even bother egging the vampiress on, she was already thirsty for the human’s blood. Her cloak writhed with dark energy, tendrils seeking anything around it. The monsters watching on the sidelines reflexively shirked back from it’s touch.
Yuki’s determined gate broke into a loping jog, quickly gaining speed. She intended to end this quickly, then she was going to rip apart every last freak in this carnival show, ending with that ringmaster who’d been trying to affect her mind this whole time. No one tries to get inside her head.
Yuki’s katana drew in a blur too quick to be seen. She cut gracefully at the knight, who still appeared calm even as her nightshroud slowed his movements and reflexes against her. She hissed at this, as normally she enjoyed that moment of realization on her victims’ faces that all was now lost. This human however seemed to oblivious to his impending doom.
The shock of realization did hit Mordred’s face however when her blade cut him deeply, ripping through the armor as if it wasn’t there and unseating him from his steed. The horse’s ironshod hoof was easily evaded by Yuki’s unnatural speed, and she pounced upon the knight, ready to end this. Her strikes were accurate, she knew this, however a bright white glow surrounded the human, protecting him from certain death. Sir Mordred Jaegar’s face was set as stone as he rose, returning strikes with his blade. Yuki spun away from nearly all of the attacks, however felt the blade hit home despite her dexterity.
Yuki’s strength ebbed somewhat, her injury taking some of the ferocity from her attacks. She was as accurate as ever though, and expertly struck at the knight. Sir Mordred parried the attacks calmly, despite the blood making his grip on sword and shield slick. He pushed away the pain, and the knowledge that even if he survived this undead creature, those twisted monsters surrounding him would never let him leave this place alive. He smiled despite this grim realization. The lady had shown her blessings to him, and through this quest her grace had been bestowed on him many times. She saw him reach his end as a true knight, worthy of her blessing.
Sir Mordred Jaegar drove his blade through the heart of the vampiress, spinning to decapitate her with a final strike. He dimly was aware of the shrieks of his steed as the poor horse was attempting to defend itself in vain from the seething mass of creatures overwhelming it.
The questing knight of Bretonnia, champion of the Lady, straightened himself and looked upon the evil ringmaster who was orchestrating this macabre carnival. Ringmaster Quinn was protected by throngs of monsters, eager for the knight’s blood. He held a powerful artifact that surely had powers beyond those of inflicting madness upon others. The Lady's champion was severely injured and likely near death.
It mattered not.
Sir Mordred Jaegar, raised sword and shield, called to the Lady, and charged.

After battle thoughts… well this fight was decided by one factor – the blessing of the lady. It actually has not saved Mordred from any wounds in any fight thus far in the arena… this time it saved TWO…. Right when he was down to one wound left after Yuki’s crazy onslaught of death. NOW Yuki can blame missing the trickster’s shard sale…. Lol… As insane as Yuki is round one, if someone survives that initial flurry of S8 attacks (not likely) she loses a lot of power round two, and cannot take any return attacks at all… if she would have had a ward save, or the trickster’s shard this would have likely gone the other way completely… Mordred had to survive round one, and then he had the upper hand…. (and could not fail ANY more saves from the next round either… but 1+ rerollable is pretty safe vs. S5)
Round One: Fear check passed!
Y: 1 hit, rerolls makes 4 hits, four wounds, 1 Armor save, reroll makes 2, no blessing wards made, Mordred takes two wounds! Red fury one hit, reroll makes two, two wounds, armor failed, reroll failed, blessing passes two wounds! M: 1 hit, 1 wound, no saves, Yuki takes a wound! H: 1 hit, 0 wounds
Round Two: fear check passed!
Y: 3 hits, rerolls make 6 hits, 4 wounds, 1 armor failed, with reroll passes M: 3 hits, 3 wounds, Yuki is slain!
