Hi all
I have heard in the past little while guys have a hard time with factory painting, or just simply can't do it. I will try to provide a few tips and pointers to help with the process.
1. Only ever do 10 models at one time, any more than this will seem too much. 2. one colour at time. Pick a paint pot, do that colour where required on every model. 3. 2 minute break between colours. 4. listen to music. This may seem obvious but music will drown out any monotony. 5. keep a journal. Write down what colours you used on what models and in what order. this way you can paint the another 10 guys exactly the same later down the road. 6. Follow the "kiss" rule. Keep It Simple Stupid. Mass painting harlequins will not work. However mass painting Banshees will. 7. Last but not least. It you are having trouble finding the space or time. Set time aside and space for yourself every week. 1-2 hours a week factory painting will see you finishing 10 models in about 2 weeks.
Ratios. 10 models= 1 monstrous creature= 1 vehicle
Good luck, happy painting
Mike
