First thing I have to point out is that Mephiston can't join units. He's not an Independent Character, just a "single model unit".
Also, you may want to keep in mind that the Priests are 1 wound independent characters with no Invul saves which means they can be picked out in combat and one power weapon wound kills them. I only say this before spending the extra points on claws.
My personal opinion on Inferno pistols is you're better off spending the points on a 2nd meltagun for the unit and use the left over points to give the Sgt Meltabombs instead. A 6" range melta (3" for the 2d6 benefit) for 5pts more than a regular meltagun on a character with a PWfist (he doesn't get an extra attack for additional handweapon) is a lot of points that could be used elsewhere....but again that's just my personal take on it.
But as I always tell people, you won't know for sure until you try it out a few times against different armies.

Thanks for Mephiston usully Im using Dante... Will change a little bit my stuff then...
By claws for priest I mean Lightning claws...so Its like a power weapon but I reroll to wound and its 15 pts like a power weapon... With assault marine usully you get the charge so its S5 WS5 4A for the priest...but its true that if I dont get the charge might be in trouble...
I cant get a second melta gun in the unit if Im not 10 models... and in my 10 models unit im using a flamer and a melta. With the melta pistol what I like its to DS beside a tank and you cab blow up the tank if you dont scatter that much witch you usully does... anyways you dont get the extra attack with a power fist even if you are using a normal pistol... Also what I like about the pistol is usully you kill a termi or a marine just before assaulting... Ive try them a lot so far and love them but its personal opinion...
Again thanks for mephiston though he would be nice but now that hes alone change my mind...

Just another little note, if I remember right (can't seem to find my codex at the moment), Priests can only buy 1 lightening claw (I did know what you meant by claws . You need to have a set of claws to counts the +1A for additional hand weapon, so they are only 3 attacks on the charge not 4.

So just want to make sure... the Assault Sgt can have a pair of LC because it says replace bolt pistol/chainsword for lightning claw can you confirm?

If it gives the option to replace AND/OR there's no reason why you couldn't buy two claws.
Same as being able to equip guard officers with dual powerfists.

Okay now that I found my codex again I can say that yes you are correct. Priest can only take 1 claw, Sgt can take 2 (remember you have to pay the pt cost for both)
