Alright you heard me...
paint something this month... anything... doesn't matter how big, how small, how pro-painted
character, unit, single empire spearmen
paint it before the end of the month and post a picture here (shrink to under 200k though k?)

They're so close to done, but I've been working extra hours. I may have a few utter surprises to show off too

So these guys are pretty much Halloween, evil monsters, black and orange, pop out of nowhere and surprise people... (I still hope to have a few more things done, but we'll see what I get done lol, more pictures at my fantasy log)

I figured I would put up a progress pic of my project this month, Neferata. In case I don't finish by Saturday night since I work both days plus school work. Clearly this looks nothing like the box or the webstore Neferata, ignoring the fact that there is no Neferata at the moment. It wasn't my intention at the beginning, I looked at the recommended paints as an amateur painter and thought I'd be copying it, but Biel-tan green was one of the colours on the box, and as a wash I assumed it was the colour used for the skulls and the spirits, since the same colour appears on the box of the spirit hosts as well. Well, that green you see is simply Biel-tan green washed on ceramite white. Didn't turn out like I thought it would, but I really like the way it looks. I've kept everything really simple. As you can see with the mount's forearms laying in front of it, I've been painting then building. Everything gets a coat of Abaddon Black, the parts that remain black are just that, the parts that aren't black have been painted with a layer or two of Ceramite white, such that you can't see any black underneath. After it dries it's just a wash. Biel-tan green for the green, reikland flesh shade for the bony parts (you can see an example of this on the hind leg, there's a sort of cage of bone) and the claws are washed with carrosburg (or whatever) crimson. And that's it, no drybrushing so far, no fancy details yet, just nice and simple for me. That might change when I start Neferata (later tonight), not sure what colours I'm going to go with for her, probably very pale, almost white for the skin and either a dark purple or black for the armour. Then just the head and the armour for the mount in the same style as the rest of the mount. Will do my best to get her done before November. And will have multiple pictures at different angles too.

I've got four little surprises that are finished being painted, now I just need another layer on their bases and then rock 'n flock decent progress on Neferata, looking forward to seeing it done! Shannon you should definitely do a November challenge too

Here she is, in all her glory. We have a couple other sides to look at. Pictures look a bit shiny, but I'm too lazy to edit them. Hope you all like her. She'll be leading my vampires next week, so you'll get to see her up close.

It was good motivation to finish her. I had not painted in like 2 weeks for no reason whatsoever.
