Well I've just finished up 2k worth of stormcast, so figured I'd get some pics up

I really like the models when they're painted up in a darker tone... not so much a fan of the lighter/brighter look...
could be my being somewhat biased to "bad guy" armies... lol

I just generally don't like the look of mass shiny metallics that the Stormcast tend to go with in official schemes. Same with the way Forgeworld took on the Alpha Legion and Thousand Sons with a metallic basecoat that's just glazed a bunch, but still super bright and IMO lacking depth. If you're going to do a majority metallic army you've gotta wash the HELL out of it to take some of that sheen away and get real depth.
Hell, I've taken to soaking almost everything I paint in a bucket worth of Nuln Oil before I hit the highlight stage!
