Went through the stuff I had and scroll builder and set up what I think is a functional 1500 points.
I'm not really clear on how gear is given to the characters, or what might be good, so I left that part out for now.
Using Slaves to Darkness,
Leaders:
Lord on Demonic Mount
Sorcerer Lord
Battleline:
20 Chaos Warriors, hand weapon and shield
2*20 Marauders
5 Marauder Horsemen
5 Chaos Knights
Other Units:
2 Chaos Chariots
5 Chosen
All have Mark of Tzeentch, because that's how the few finished ones are painted - again, not entirely clear how I apply that or if points are involved.
Does this look like a reasonable force?

well believe it or not... gear is free...
in AOS you get to pick whatever one relic your character wants and give it to them. Then you get to pick their command trait (basically warlord trait) again whichever one you want from the chaos tables in the General's handbook.
Looks like an entirely reasonable force... lots of numbers with some fast flankers like the horsemen and the chaos knights, which are SO good.

Second quick question: Would all Chaos infantry go on 32mm bases or would the Marauders go on 28? I've got a ton of spare round bases lying around because I use resin ones for my 40k stuff, so I might as well re-base these guys before I make an attempt at painting them.

Seems I only have 20 Marauders, so swapping one units out for a Chaos Lord on foot - given that it's all Tzeentch marked, passing that reroll of 1 on saves to the big Warrior unit feels like a pretty good move.
That leaves me with 20 points left over - is that fairly normal? It doesn't seem like there's any way to spend those small numbers of points.
