Heavyweight
1.You can pick a character, any HQ choice from
any codex. Note that I said codex, no Harlies! You may use rules from Chapter Approved.
No living Gods as well, you know who you are.
2.You can give them weapons and
wargear up to 150pts in total (so if you take an Ork Warboss you may only take 90pts of
wargear). Other than that, there are no restrictions on pts.
3.You submit your
characters to me.
4.I randomly select them to play against one another in a
knockout tourney. I play the games out with dice, I don't just choose the one who I
think will win...
5.The winner of each round passes through to the next round,
and the loser is knocked out of the competition.
6.The winner is the Arena
Champion.
Lightweight
In the Lightweight section everything is the
same as the Heavyweight section except you can choose any 1 wound character from any
where in any codex (again, no Harlies, but you may pick from Chapter Approved) and it can
be 50pts in total with all its wargear.
Psyker Arena
Heavyweight,
but Psykers only (i.e. only HQs that have Psychic Powers of any sort).
Limitations
No retinues or units (this also applies to Guard Officers and
Tyranid Warriors).
None of the following: Fenrisian Wolves, Iron Thralls,
Attack Squigs, Squighounds, Grot Oilers, Grot Orderlies, Chaos Spawn, Chaos Hounds,
Imperial Servitors and Gun Drones.
Characters may benefit from, but will not
be accompanied by:Thrall Wizards, Inquisitorial Henchmen, Ammo Runts and Shield Drones (
you get a 4+ inv save).
No transports.
No vehicles (i.e. Venerable
Dreadnoughts, Command Chimeras of Armoured Companies).
No Special Characters.
Other Stuff
Orks pass a WAAAGH! test if they pass a Ld check.
Dark Eldar that have an Animus Vitae, and that pass through to the next round,
gain the benefits of the Animus for that round.
If there is a weapon that has
a chance of Pinning the enemy, they will shoot before the opponent does. Pinned enemies
don't get the bonus for charging.
If a weapon is Rapid Fire or Pistol,
and is Rapid Fired, the model won't get the bonus for charging (I won't do this
ordinarily, but if you have something like a Combi-Plasma then it would probably be
better to Rapid Fire). "
