Just a thought.... Soul Grinders and Demon Princes are the only choice for heavy support demons.... and can bring some anti-tank shooting and MC / dread CC to the list... but which do you think is more effective (and why?) If all your armor is three AV13 walkers then wouldn't this be the target of every melta and AT weapon on the board? (especially with such a large deep strike footprint) To make princes as scary as the grinder is pretty point intensive, and they can be taken down far more easily by torrenting lower S fire... not much of a save to speak of unless you pay the points for the 3+ AS (and how hard is it to get around power armor saves?) and 4++ is basically 50/50 (assuming Tzentch) so again, not very high on the survivability scale ...... still occasionally musing about the possibility of a future demon army... once my patient spouse forgets the sticker-shock of this spring's purchases by both Tommy and I.... (ie: not for a while!)

I've been running 2 Grinders myself, but I'm also running 2 Greater Deamons. The Grinders are there as firesupport in a list that doesn't have a lot of decent shooting that isn't a lot of points. I've found that in most games, the anti-tank stuff focuses on the GD's since they are tough enough to weather a lot of firepower and come out okay (BT is T6 with a 3+/4++ and Kurgath is T6 with a 4++/4+ FnP).
The AV13 is decent enough to absorb some anti-tank stuff out there and the ignore shaken/stunned means you either kill it or immobilize&destroy all weapons or else it's just going to keep coming/shooting at you.
With Grinders and DP's it better to take 2 than only one since most armies out there won't be able to reliably kill both in 1 turn...kinda like the big stuff in Fantasy now.

i like the idea of a daemon prince with boon of chaos coming in and turning some pesky character into a blob.

just a "quick" question could you attach a daemon prince with flight to a blood thirster or a lord of change so they count as being in the same squad? and if so would you need to give the daemon prince the same mark; i know you couldent have a diferent mark but could it say go unmarked? anouther thing if you can do all that stuff would majority tuffness round up or down? thx ten point to who ever answers correctly first.
