Ok, since they are all still in stock at the GW site, I figured I'd update this.
From what I've heard online, the Skaven box and the Gloomspite box have bad synergy. For example, the gloomspite box has a bunch of squig units, good for a squig based army, but then it has trolls and fanatics as well. I'm told they don't mesh too well.
From chatter I've read online, it seems the Stormcast box is the best for synergy within itself, as long as you decide to stick to that stormhost.
The other two boxes I haven't heard much of, other than that the skaven box is apparently not too good, but no reasons given as to why.

The skaven box is fantastic. It's the contents of the start collecting plus a box of clanrats, plus a verminlord, a grey seer and a plague priest. Notably the verminlird kit builds any of the verminlords, the catapult also builds the warp lightning cannon and the plague censer can also be assembled as a screaming bell. If you build the bell you get an additional plague priest and if you build the censor you get an additional grey seer. So if you dont want to go pestilens you get most of the best units in the faction and if you do go pestilens you have everything you need to get started. Add one or two start collecting and you have a solid pestilens force. The other way you add one start collecting and some more boxes of clanrats. It's the perfect starting point for skaven!

For Stormcasts the Sacrosanct box isn't bad at all. As far as Stormcast go, anyway. You can play everything in it (together, even!) and get results, except probably the wizard guy who is... honestly he's pretty terrible, not sure you could possibly justify using him when Knight-Incantors AND Lord Arcanums exist. Never hurts to have a Stormcast model to proxy one of their thousands of characters though.
Even so not sure I would actually recommend buying into Stormcast. I don't regret mine but boy howdy their book has issues.

May I ask what issues you feel the book has? Bit irrelevant and I can certainly start a new thread if Shannon wants me to but I have 2000 pts of stormcast and I love their rules. Though I've never actually played a game with them so if you have some practical issues or anything, I'd love to hear it! (Since I'm only theorycrafting)

From my own experience before I sold them off (and why i sold them in the first place) the book lacks a ton of internal balance. Alot of units with multiple option have a clear best choice or in the multi kits one option is clearly better than the others. My "last straw" with them is that power creep seems to be very present with them as sacrosanct models just replace other models in the faction largely without any reason to use alternatives. The last big problem they have is as a forerunner of the edition they have some of the oldest rules and so dont always have the options to compete with other factions in extreme cases, for example I play skaven now and they seem largely helpless against stormvermin and multiple large hordes. Mortal wounds can be crippling as well so it's really just a lopsided matchup in general.
