Per Facebook:
As of Monday Kingston Gaming Nexus will be closing its doors to the general public for the extent of the current crisis.
We will be instituting Front door pickups where by you can pay by etransfer, PayPal or over the phone credit card (we are looking into other forms of payment and will hopefully have a system of 'Tap' at the door soon for Debit and Credit transactions) and then pickup your products at the door.
Simply give us a call at 613-546-2565 or email us at kingstonnexus@gmail.com to let us know what you'd like to purchase and we'll put it aside for you, or order it for you should the product not be currently in stock.
Nexus will open once again once the current crisis has passed. Ordering hours will be from 10 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday.
We here at Nexus are committed to the health and well-being of our staff and customers and we are doing everything possible to ensure their safety now and in the future.
Baby Cthulhu demands you to Be Safe and Be Healthy.

Tough times...I mean from an owner stand point it's hard for mike and ali to work in a store and have a child under 3 months at home. You cant afford to bring anything home.
The pickup order is nice and I guess we will all have to retreat to basements for now. Time to get all that plastic painted!!!

Yeah they've had the other staff running the storefront since the baby as obviously they do not want any of this brought around such a young child, which is perfectly understandable.

Hard economic decision, good health decision for Nexus owners and staff.

To be fair, I think they're about a week ahead of the rest of the country.
I fully expect mandatory closures this week of non essentials (Look to Nova Scotia as an example). As much as I like to think of them as an essential service, they're just not. Working at KGH, it's really disappointing to see many people/places not taking it as serous as it is. It will just make my job harder and more dangerous than it already is. I commend Mike for taking the necessary steps. It's the right thing to do.
I hate being a downer, but I don't expect anything to be back to any kind of normal until at least summer.
I'm looking forward to what everyone can accomplish during this crazy time. (I might even find time to paint a model or two!)

yeah I'm back at work today but there might be 10 people in the whole building (out of 200 staff) as an essential service we cannot close, but we're mostly working from home

I just hope that both the Nexus and other small businesses will be able to ride this thing out.

My company has been thinning the herd by setting up people to to work at home. Unfortunately I can't but we are down from 100 to about 30 in the building and probably closer to 20 by tomorrow. I work at one of the most remote desks so I'm not too concerned. But if you are customer/patient facing frontline, those are the folks in greatest peril. Good luck to all of you over the coming month(s).

From the facebook page:
"In compliance with the order by the Ontario Government Nexus will shutting down its curbside pickup and delivery. We will hold all special orders, comic subscriptions and the one ring for customers until the order has been lifted. If you have any questions or requests please feel free to email us at kingstonnexus@gmail.com. Please stay safe and stay well and we look forward to seeing you in the future."
The province has ordered all non-essentials to close by midnight tomorrow.
