So, I've settled on Ossiarch Bonereapers for my second army, and will soon order some. However, when looking around at their rules so that I can make myself a list, I noticed something. Like many AoS armies they can pick a subfaction/clan/stormhost/legion/whatever, and I saw one that I wanted to possibly use. But then, looking around online it seems that people think that legion is overpowered. I don't want to be "That Guy", so I turn to you guys. I'll post what the legion does, and you can give input on if I should or shouldn't use it.
Petrifex Elite
Battle Traits: Unstoppable Juggernauts: Add +1 to saves of all friendly petrifex elite Bonereapers.
Command Trait: Mighty Archaeossian: +2 Wounds.
Command Ability: Bludgeon: In the combat phase, give a unit +1 rend on one weapon, can't stack. Range is wholly within 12" of hero, or whololy within 6" of Hekatos (Unit leaders)
Artifact of Power: Godbone Armor: The first wound allocated to the bearer in each phase is negated.
Now, looking at this, I can get it. The +1 to saves for everything is pretty good. Giving the general an extra 2 wounds is average, but combines well with the save bonus. The Command Ability for extra rend is really good. The artifact which block an unsaved wound per phase is amazing, and once again combines well with the save bonus.
Would it be ok for me to use this at the Nexus when it's open again, or do you guys think I should take a different legion as this is indeed OP?

I know nothing about bonereapers so I can't really comment. What's their save normally? Also I think you can play this for tournaments even if it is cheesy/ stronger in the meta and I don't think people will complain.
I'd say go and play it, but potentially change your list or just bring your orruks if you find that people are getting a bit tired playing against something lilke that. If it's a specific "stormhost" equivalent, it should be fairly easy to choose a new one to slightly gimp yourself if you feel like that's necessary.
Thanks for asking about it beforehand! I find I don't play much meta and I greatly appreciate you taking the time to figure it out. If you manage to get tabletop sim working, i'd be happy to try to find sometime to playtest this with you (before you buy models) and then I can give a bit of a better opinion then.

For what their saves are normally, it seems to be mostly 4+. A few heroes and more elite units are at 3+, while there is two wizard type heroes that are at 5+. As such, with the save boost, many characters and elite would be at a 2+ save, while battleline units would be at 3+.
I figure that changing legions would be easy enough to do, and there is another legion that interests me as well that I could use.
And no problem. I figured I'd ask as like I said, I don't want to come across as being "That Guy" which only cares about winning. As it is, I've actually only ever won 1 game, so I am perfectly fine with losing. Also, what I do tends to be more casual games, so I wouldn't want to annoy my opponent.
Also, I literally just bought Tabletop Simulator before typing this response. I'll install it, and then get the required mods, as well as figure out how to actually use it, hahaha.

literally have never played bonereapers, either against or as the army, so have no idea... could be the best list ever... could be not! I suggest checking out The Grand Alliance - it's a gloabal AOS forum that has a LOT of reviews of armies, and lists: www.tga.community/forums/

I'll just add - if you play anything other than Petrifex Elite you're hobbling yourself. Whether it's too strong will depend entirely on what you're playing against, cuz PE still loses to the same stuff that other OSB loses to.
If you're concerned about playing a cuthroat meta list I wouldn't be - at the comp scene despite all the whingeing OSB didn't actually cut into the meta as much as people expected. Unlike, say, Changehost.
Also honestly it's good but it's not even that crazy outside of Nagash lists. Giving Nagash a +1 save is where a lot of the panic came from.

Well, I don't plan to get Nagash as he is over 800 points, so I should be fine.

Honestly dude get what you like play what you want! Some people prefer to face more challenging lists. If you play it and it feels like too much then look at scaling it back
