Ok, so today I bought the Start Collecting Skitarii box. I want to paint the a similar blue to my Age of Sigmar orruks, because I like blue, and lack enough creativity to come up with another paint scheme. Anyway, I was looking at the digital codex (Will try to get physical later on), and think I'd want to run Mars, if for no reason other than to be able to use Cawl. Here is the problem though, Mars is red, while another forge world is blue. It would sort of be like saying I'm running Imperial Fists, and using that codex, but then using a army that is very clearly Ultramarines in colour and iconography.
So... Basically what I'm asking is if anyone would mind me using a decidedly not Mars colour scheme while still running Mars. If it would be a problem, I can think of a different scheme.
EDIT: Well, aren't I dumb. I just went to double check, and it turns out the blue coloured forgeworld they showed doesn't have rules, and was just there for lore. Looks like I'm clear in that regard then. I'll still leave the question though, just in case I change my mind on colours. Also, it's good to know in general.

no one would mind at all. People use their own colour schemes for armies all the time.
or even paint things one way but then want them to be something else

Alright, good to know.
So, if for some reason I went with Metalica colours, it would still be fine to run as Mars despite the fact that they both have rules for instance. I can get behind that. Then again, I'll likely have a custom colour scheme.

Colour schemes mean nothing rule wise. Just make sure your list obviously states what forge world them are and tell the other player to avoid confusion. If you do run 2 different forge worlds on the same list, come up with a way to have them look different enough that at a glance they work
