so FYI - the link above includes the new marine supplements (space wolves, templars, blood angels, scars, etc.) and new rules / strats etc. which supercede the printed supplement. Now just a free PDF download.

Oddly enough, I don't see one for either Necrons or Space Marines. Although, that's likely because they have their codex coming out very soon.

Finally added "unmodified 1" to plasma and ion weapons. Been waiting for that since the start of 8th.
Still remember explaining why it was a bad idea for those hellblasters to overcharge at my ghostkeel with the -2. He did it anyway. I don't think my 'keel has been the death of that many marines in a single game since. Even when bad rules give you an advantage, it still feels bad.
Also 12" flamers for all, wooo!

Maybe they'll get the bump in their codex? Either that, or GW felt like lying.

no, something else is coming down the pipe...GW isn't going to say this is happening and not do it
I'd hang on til Saturday... because technically regular marines don't have 2 wounds yet either

Spoochies definitely got some massive changes. You'll be seeing a lot of Wulfen on eBay for cheap and Thunderwolves will be sold out for months.
Knowing that the indexes put out turn off psychic awakening and seeing the sheer number of balance changes in those indexes (which honestly I'd have expected that index to be the actual content of the paid for supplement), there's huge changes in the works for sure.

Spoochies definitely got some massive changes. You'll be seeing a lot of Wulfen on eBay for cheap and Thunderwolves will be sold out for months. Well, I know I have some Wulfen who'll be relegated to the shelf for the first time in...forever. And now I don't feel so bad about owning a ton of Thunderwolves again. To be fair, both units are solid still, Wulfen are certainly playable, they're just not a must-have any more. They very much fill the same role they did, the amount of attacks they can put out in melee is utterly hateful, and the Pack Leader being able to finally upgrade his weapon doesn't make him the first to die every time. They're just not nearly as survivable, and losing advance+charge is doing them really dirty, since they literally don't do anything else. It's a short wait (hopefully) until the codex supplements come out though, and if the Wulfen's change stay like they are in the index, then yeah, you'll see a bunch being tossed out for cheap. Until then though, you never know. As for Thunderwolves, they're still a solid 'meh' unit. They've got a bunch of wounds and cost a ton of points, though with Aggressors and Wulfen being axed, there's a lot of floating points in people's lists to try them out again. I don't think that swift hunters makes that big of a change, rather than the need for a chunky melee unit to exist in Wolf lists still. Between them Terminators, and Bladeguard existing, I think we'll see a lot of Wolf Guard-centric lists hitting tables. It makes sense in retrospect why they axed Arjac's synergy with Wolf Guard units now. I also think you'll be seeing a lot more Dreads now with blizzard shields everywhere, plus Bjorn and/or Murderface.

Not that OP but I like it a lot.
Deathwatch. Can add 5 eliminatiors to 5 infiltrators. Then combat squad them. 3 eliminators are meh. They die off quick. But 5 with Obj secure, might be worth it. Or don’t combatsquad and have 10 extra wounds... They also lost their executioner rounds (non line of sight rounds).
