1500 points? A holdover from Astronomicon?

Not sure why Mike choose 1500 points... maybe trying something different... (he's running all three tournies, so I actually get to PLAY this time at the WHFB!!!)
or might have checked into some of the stuff Astronomicon was doing... not sure....

Even though it's smaller than what most of us are generally used to, it'll make the games quicker and it will also make you think about the efficiency of point spending. It'll be like my first few big games all over again from the dawn of 3rd edition.

Actually I've been playing alot of 1500 games over the last month or so in preparation for Astronomi-con and I really like this point level... you can't get everything you want sure... but I'm liking how the game plays at this level... seems a little more balanced... maybe because the big deathstars are so expensive you don't see to many of them at that level..... lol... yes I mentioned GW and the word balanced in the same sentence

I think I like the 1500 point idea. Better chance at getting through the games for horde type armies (unless the time for each game is reduced enough that the same situation occurs).
Now I'm getting re-motivated to finish some of my half-built nid models.

Same time frame Mark... so yeah, much easier for the horde armies to actually finish a game...
.... plus less land raiders... always makes Nid's happy to see that !!!!

yep... but at 1500 you'll only see ONE dreadknight usually... and heavy incinerator's are pretty close range.... so yes big metal guy... come closer to the nids...
