They announced that the update for necrons and Marines will be released Thursday... They gave full warning to expect a few issues unfortunately. Earlier they said the new space marine book pretty much broke battlescribe's brain... Was causing huge problems
So it's going to be a bit spotty til they work out all the bugs

Ya the new marine are weird. Like some things that used to be one sheet are two now.
Some things have different options depending on what faction you are.
Then all the stuff that may or may not be usable from the supplements.
They would basically need to start all over again.

Pretty much... It's a huge undertaking and from what I gather it's only one or two people doing the whole thing (as too many people messing with the source file really screws things up)

As a programmer who routinely looks at their code base/github, this was a MASSIVE undertaking for battlescribe.
Battlescribe separated all the space marine variants into their supplements and separate codexes a while back, and so adding all the now centralized data sheets to each of the 10+ library files as exact copies, but with the appropriate chapter-specific tweaks is a hugely time-intensive and high-accuracy but repetitive and dull task.
To offset this, they've created what they call a "shared space marine library" to centralize the data sheets and pass them off to the chapter-specific libraries which apply the tweaks to the sheets. (in software we do this routinely, it's called inheritance***), however, testing and spot-checking a change of this size with a team of just a few people on a condensed schedule with all the constant nagging from the community about not getting it done fast enough isn't helping them.
I expect this will be nothing short of a shit-show of broken datasheets, wrong options and mistakes, and complaints from the community. I really feel bad for the guys who put in the probably 100+ hours of work to get this update out and are going to get nothing but complaints for it.
I ask that anyone locally please forgive any mistakes and be patient with Battlescribe over the next while, these rapid-fire releases GW will have leading up to Christmas combined with the scale of this SM update will take a toll on them, don't add to it.
***For any non-techies, in software, inheritance is a concept sort of like how you inherit genetic traits like your eye/hair colour down your bloodline from your parents/grandparents.

There's a LOT of mistakes caused by the chaos of 10+ libraries being shared now by the looks of it. I assume there will be several bug releases over the next few days
