My updated Dwarf list with what I have / am converting (slow build).
Lord - 418 (17.4%)
Runelord, Shield, Master Rune of Balance, Rune of Spellbreaking x2
-Anvil of Doom
Hero - 265 (11.0%)
Thane, BSB, Hand Wpn(Rune of Fire), Gromril (Master Rune of Gromril, Resistance, Preservation)
Master Engineer, Hand Weapon, Gromril (Rune of Shielding), Dwarf Handgun
Core - 1006 (41.9%)
28 Longbeards, Shields, Full Command (Banner - Master Rune of Grungni) (Thane goes here)
30 Warriors, Great Weapons, Musician, Standard
10 Thunderers, shields, Musician
10 Quarrelers, Great Weapons, Musician
Special - 591 (24.6%)
23 Hammerers, Full Command (Banner - Rune of Sanctuary x2)
Cannon - Forging, Burning
Cannon - Forging
Rare - 120 (5.0%)
Organ Gun
Thane will go with the Longbeards to tarpit. Warriors and Hammerers will go on either flank of the LBs to maximise Grungni rune (missile protection). Anvil will either Wrath and Ruin unit(s) threatening flanks or Oath and Honour to get units up to contact. Master Engineer will entrench the Organ Gun ahead of the Cannons and hang out near the cannons to allow re-rolls on both Arty die rolls (1 from him, 1 from Rune of Forging). Quarrelers are a speed bump for first enemy unit that breaks through. Thunderers are Anvil protection.
Master Engineer and Organ Gun are likely placeholders for a future Grudge Thrower and maybe a Runesmith. This list is what I'm working towards in the short-term. I'm a Runesmith shy of the magic protection I would like to ultimately have, but like the synergy the Master Eng is giving with the warmachines. I'll try this out and see...
One question - I am assuming (from Army Book and FAQ) that the Anvil does not need line of sight to strike the Runes. Is this correct?
