looks pretty good... other than my obvious question.... no slaves? ? want to try out Queek and his upgraded vermin myself, as I've heard good things... I've had success with a similar warlord on the litter... cheap and quite effective.... good size on the clanrats... and yeah, no point doing horde formation, you want those ranks as long as possible.... will say though, having that engineer with the jezzails means he'd be rather easy to get rid of if your opponent gets the opportunity... try shielding them if you can, or making it at least difficult for flyers to get in there... doomrocket = my favorite item in the book doomflayer = my favorite weapons team. looks like a fun list!

**re: no slaves ** - in my opinion, you have to be real tactical to get good use out of the slaves. I'm not there yet and would be just throwing them up to die (unless that's the extent of the tactics!!) The models I have are assembled as clanrats, so that was the extent of my reasoning. I'm sure they'll prove me wrong!
**re: warlock eng ** - with two lvl 2's I expect at least one to be targeted early. Hopefully with the jezzail range I can keep this one out of trouble for awhile or at least make the opponent extend himself a bit to get to an easier target (wait a minute, aren't all skaven easy targets?). I like the fluff of the warlock optics and could think of no better place to put him then in with jezzails
Eventually I want to make this list entriely Clan Skryre based and get rid of the rat ogres and replace with more clanrats (with a ratling gun to fit in all of the different weapons teams) and maybe a warpfire cannon. Though does anyone know if those Skryre Rat Ogre constructs from the Mordheim game are still available and proper scale?
Gotta get this army together and get playing!
James - I've been watching your Skaven post and would like to give them a good home if I could, but am going to get this army to 2400 with in-store purchases. I'm thinking about it though...

yeah warlock optics and a rifle makes him perfect for jezzails... I've always thought that.... you just might have to play more aggressive with the dispel scroll though (earlier rather than later) because I can see him being a prime target for a magic heavy force to try to get rid of your scroll...
slave tactics 101 = at least 40 slaves, 5 wide and as deep as you can manage, in range of general (or with a cheap engineer for a leadership boost -> I often use a cheap 45 point doomrocket carrying engineer who shoots the rocket then who cares what happens to him!) Anyways... make this unit charge your opponent's toughest heaviest hitters (especially if they have few attacks like hammerers for example) and watch this cheap unit take their expensive unit out of the game. It's rather easy to have stubborn leadership 10 slaves this way (due to strength in numbers) and if they're in range of the BSB it's re-rollable!
by the time you're ready to kill the opponent's tough unit, you generally can do so at your leisure, and can readily get in a flank/rear charge too!
nice big clan Skyre army would be awesome!
my next Skaven project is to have a fully playable Moulder list (right now I'm Pestilens mainly!)

I give the slaves slings so they can shoot and atleast gain allittle points also forstand and shoot I also agree with no horde formations need stedfast and higher leadership.

Looks somewhat similar to what I'd be running for Skaven- though I'd go against the norm and take no Hellpits OR doomwheels, mwahah..

NO HELLPITS?!?!?!!?!??!!? How is that possible to take no hellpits?!?!?!?!?! The doomwheel I understand because it tends to kill your own team with the lightning impact hits on your own team I guess I just don't like it. But you need hellpits on your team low points for amazing!!!!! I tend not to go with stormvermin either though I just find that for the extra three points might as well just get two clanrats. also they just don't kill as much as they should I think. I would never use stormvermin but you can that's just me.

Hellpits are a little overrated to be honest.... I'm only starting to take them now (because I'm building a second list themed around moulder), and leave them alone for my competitive list.... anyone can take a 10 point flaming banner, shoot the hellpit, negating it's regen and "too horrible to die" rule... I mean they're great if they hit combat... but not that survivable against a good opponent who knows how to remove them...
doomwheel is actually somewhat more survivable, and not generally as much of a target... but you have to combo-charge with something else, or you're pretty much guarenteed to lose combat... I've had one doomwheel turn a loss into a win with one well timed misfire result!
stormvermin also can carry a magic banner... where the clanrats cannot.... you know, like the stormbanner to protect your hellpits / doomwheel / plague furnace / bell etc. etc. from all that shooting pointed at them??? also the higher weapon skill and higher strength can be very useful... if you want troops that just don't die....
if you run Queek and upgrade the stormvermin they become a pretty hard hitting threat.....

Yeah, I'd run 150 slaves in 3 units of 50, a big unit of Queek's stormvermin with Char support, 2 warlocks and a grey seer for the slave units- 3 units of 5 gutter runners, 2 cannons and 2 plagueclaw catapults. This way you can tarpit people with your slaves, and continue to shoot them with your warmachines!
Hellpits are overrated imo and incredibly easy to deal with using the right tools.

If I didn't take Queek, I'd take a lvl 2 life warlord and a Grey Seer on bell. Still no hellpits or doomwheels imo.

the reason why I have the hellpit is because it's good for taking hits so my other units stay alive.

I prefer to put my gutter runners in units of 7 I just like to and it's good if you give them poison

I would have the point either for two units of 7 or 3 units of 5. In this case, 3 units of 5 is better for target saturation and being able to shoot multiple targets.
