So in the most obvious rumour engine pic ever (I've painted so many of these models the hands/wrist/detonator are pretty clearly an acolyte) it appears that maybe, just maybe there is hope for some dusty models to leave the shelf!

For what it's worth, some rumor engine hints take forever before they finally come out. Hopefully it won't be the case this time though. I'll admit, I have no interest in Genestealer Cults, but for those that are hopefully the wait is bearable.

I heard they brought back Cruddace to combine the GSC and Nids into a "Super Codex"... Good news for ALL!!

I heard this too. Some really awesome new changes were leaked too!!!

The new Cult Ambush works similar to the 5th Edition Trygon tunnel!, where every model that can't fit touching the ambush token dies upon arrival! This helps your opponent feel better about themselves cus half of your GSC army will die as soon as it arrives due to not being able to be placed.

They decided Hive Guard are too accurate considering they are blind, so they have a reverse Dark Reaper rule where they always get -2 to hit no matter what target they are firing at, even if they are out of LOS!. Don't worry, they buffed their base Ballistic Skill to 4+ to offset this tremendous buff so other players won't complain how OP you are.

They tremendously improved Purestrain Genestealer and regular Genestealers by combining them into 1 super-uber-data-slate called Ymgrl Strain Genestealers, they are a lot like Obliterators and randomly roll their strength, attacks and armour piercing values for every model individually. D3 Strength, D3 Attacks and D3 Armour Pen! Don't worry if this sounds like a brutal amount of fearsome S3 attacks, they raised the points cost of such an elite unit to compensate! They now only cost 42 points a piece and every army must mandatorily include at least one unit of 10. Bugs aren't bugs without their flagship unit!
