Yup, Five Ts. www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0OOWA4_Nj4Starts one week from Saturday. Round 1 Matchups: Ultramarines vs Death Guard Sisters vs Drukhari Custodes vs Admech Thousand Sons vs Orks I likely won't see all the games live, but I figured we could start a discussion thread since this will be very interesting to watch. Last year with the lack of events the TTTT basically helped steer the meta through the first several months of 9th with Harlies and Death Guard lists putting up dominant performances. Given we will only be receiving 1 supplement (BT) and only two more codexes in December this year, there will likely be meta implications during the fall break in releases. |

Having played a fair bit of Iron Warriors-as-Ultramarines with Contemptors - Seal of Oath is one hell of a drug.

Ya I think its 3 redemptors, 2 contempter with the volkites and a leviathan...then what ever else fills th list.
The fall back and shoot on them is real good

I'm not sure if they've posted exact lists publicly yet, last year they did an army-overview video just before the tournament that showcased the lists, so I'd expect that should drop at least a couple days before the first match (aka I'd expect it sometime next week)
Without seeing exact lists, the Drukhari and Ultramarines are top-contenders imo, but I get a feeling that whoever comes out of that Orks vs TSons matchup is going to be a real threat to either of those lists.

Orks have post 3 1st places in 3 tournaments where the new codex was allowed so they could do well.

Appears the first game was incredibly close, with the Death Guard eeking out a narrow 80-73 win over the Ultramarines.
Unfortunately tonight's game (Sisters vs Drukhari) will be a members-only stream =(

So round 1 completed on Saturday with an epic-draw including a double-drawn roll-off between the Orks and Tsons. You can see the bracket and final scores here for quick ref: challonge.com/TabletopTitansTTThey decided to post a premium-only poll to vote who would go through on their discord post-game, and I believe that is what finally put the TSons through to the semi-final. Semi Final Matchups are: Death Guard vs Thousand Sons Drukhari vs Custodes Extremely crazy to me that Mechanicus, Sisters, and Ultramarines all lost in round 1. Most games were very close with the exception of the Drukhari/Sisters game. |
